Oooh! look forward to that. I'm trying to imagine something even more wilful than 'French, mid-engined, water permable, turbo & non-available parts'.

... nope, drawing a blank there.

Meanwhile I may yet make the next meet, if the Evinrude engine conversion works:

Hope to be there next weekend.
I'm bringing my new toy too!
Also started a new job at C2 Aviation and hugely pleased to be based at Kemble once again!

Very nice. IMHO the looks of these improve as time passes. Still a rare sight on the road too.

I went to the cafe yesterday and there was a 20ft stretch of road under 8 inches of flowing water on the way in.

8 inches is quite a bit, its the fording depth of the Subaru Outback if you dont want to change the diff oil. I cant see the Lotus making it through that

I work at Kemble.
Flooding on the road is not as bad as that now, but still probably fifteen yards of four inch deep water. It has been dropping this week but only VERY slowly, if we get more rain it won't improve much from this level by Sunday.
My attendance will be weather based, I've had ENOUGH driving around in the pouring rain recently !!!

What we need is a man with a red flag to escort us, and a yardstick to probe the depths...
