A heads up from the Police for those terribly bad and evil bunny killers out there...
Speed enforcement and awareness week
Added: 16/08/2012 13:05
Speeding drivers in Avon and Somerset are being warned to slow down or face the consequences during a week-long campaign to make the roads safer.
Police and Community Speed Watch volunteers are taking part in a Europe-wide co-ordinated speed enforcement operation from Monday August 20-26.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary will provide a high profile response to this campaign with the key objectives of
• Reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on the roads • Raising awareness of the dangers associated with speeding via education • Increasing the number of offenders brought to justice for speeding offences • Making communities feel safe by high visible policing
There will be high-visibility mobile patrols across the major road network, including the M5, M4, M32 and A303. Patrol vehicles will also be stationed for maximum exposure on motorway bridges and police patrol vehicle bays. Highway matrix signs will display speed enforcement and speed reduction messages.

And will they station Police in Queen Charlotte Street to stop some of the idiots who race along here at >50mph? No, of course not.

I got my letter yesterday for speeding again in the convoy on my way to Wilton House Contacted steve and he has had a ticket also, seems they managed to catch us all in convoy I guess there is a sneaky 30 zone on a stretch of the A358 which is mainly 40/50 mph We were all driving at a safe sensible speed , I had one eye on my sat-nav which was telling me I was under the limit

Fuel up by 10p (apparently soon) Police out in force trying to catch you speeding and insurance companies worming there way out of any kind of payout or correct value of a car.
The motorist trade is like one big scam that f**ks everyone in the ass!

I cant help but agree with ALL the posts on this subject. I was one of the many who was "caught" doin 41mph in a 30 area , whilst en-route to Wilton House, I find it hard to believe. But what can you do ? Plod do just as they like. No wonder we "luv" them so much !!

I didnt 'see' any police on the M5 this morning. But my laser alarm went beserk approching a bridge between J14 & J13 northbound.
Wonder if they were hiding in the hedge? or just a coincidental false-positive?

mboon said: I am giving up the will to live with fast cars these days Noooooooooo - thats what they want They want you to drive a 900cc s tbox and behave yourself and work in an office 9-5 and live in a wimpey home all in a row. Oh and carry identity cards with GPS trackers in them Oh and insurance black boxes in your car Dont bow to the pressure, go and buy a big old smelly noisy yank tank and metaphorically stick two fingers up at them. This politically correct nation has gone to the dogs. The police are only interested in generating money in order to pay their own salaries. Much as it was proven that speed cameras were only money making machines with no thought for road safety.

Much as it was proven that speed cameras were only money making machines with no thought for road safety. Back in the day with less cares that is how I would think. But running these kind of cars with the insurance and fuel costs is becoming a joke. It would be cheaper for me to buy a track car and a road car at present. Why dont they go and pick on america? They see a 3.0 as a small engine!! If they sorted them out surely the price overall would come down as there demand would not be so big
