Where did you get too ???!!!

We waited for 15 mins in Crewkerne, Steve Miami found us and I went round the one way to find you but to no avail. I think you must of turned left to Yeovil at the T junction.

To be honest, its always difficult with that many cars. Any more than 6 and someone is bound to get lost. However I have a plan, for the next one I will collect all your email addresses and send out the route in advance, so you can all plan your maps or satnavs.

Great run tho today, in the sun. I even got to hear the AMG C-Coupe and the stag on the way home.

Thanks for turning up

i/we (i was leading paperbag) took the turning to dorchester then 30seconds down the road realised my mistake so pulled in and agreed we need to go back. got back into crewkerne and the martin said you headed for axminster so we just hooned back the way we came and took the axminster junction. good bit of road that. assume instead of going back the way we came you took the little left for lyme regis? good day though really like the new boxster not so happy about the greatest noise contenders though. we need an official competition hehe tvr looked great in the sunlight. showed up all the speckles in the paintwork.

Had a great time today chaps, thanks for taking the time to organise it,took a wrong turn with Steve & when we realised we'd gone a few miles in the wrong direction,we turned round then went in separate directions.
Note to self, take more notice,or get a route plan, all said the road from chard to axminster was great, loads of nice bends good visibility, not many cars, will do that one again.
Great to meet you all, look forward to doing it again, good mix of cars, the stag & merc sounded brutal.
Paul.

Great to see some new faces, good run to the cafe. Sorry we got separated. I pulled over on the A30 Chard road to take some footage, unfortunately everyone pull in rather than giving some beans around the bend!! Then I was going to follow and make sure everyone went the correct way. Maybe next time!!

To reiterate, thanks LancerG as always. It wouldn't be a SWPH run without a dodgy explanation/interpretation! wink

A few dubious (well it looked like it from my view) overtakes, some nice roads (some not so nice) great scenery and great company.

An extra mention for KWY91 for his first meet, GTR One for braving the weather and to the Bloody Northerners JDSPaul for actually making it to the real SW!!

Looking forward to a Cornish run next month.

NEXT SWPH - Not so sure at the moment.

I was aiming for 18th November but that is the same date as the potential Treasure Hunt, so I will wait and see if that firms up first, it may well become the November Event and we can go up country and boost the numbers.
Alternatively it will be Cornwall

After a cold & misty start , what a great day !!!
I actually had ICE on my screen before I left home (N-Abbot). Thanks for organising the "ALL DAY SUNSHINE", Giles. I was glad I had the MX5 soft-top !!
I went "top down" as we left the A303 Cafe, just excellent as Giles & Paul went past me on full throttle, with rev limiter & turbo's popping & hissing !!
It was good to see P/Hers new & old, with a big variey of cars.
15 cars in total. With Bravery Awards to the guys who arrived at services with no roof. Bloody hell that was cold !!
I particulary enjoyed the B3165, Crewkerne to Axminster. But I still LUV the Chard-Crewkerne road tho ! Ive enjoyed that section several times.
Lets get together again , soon.

Had a great day , weather was awesome. Thanks to Giles for a great route and also chance to ride shotgun in the Evo ( clutch problems stopped me driving) shame we lost some guys part way round . I came out to drool over the VXR8 . The Merc and the Stag did both sound like the devils work. Giles you need to spend a bit of work on your timing of the popping and banging when we past cyclists, a couple of the explosions were slightly off.

Please make it a mid weeker. Although i understand the nights roll in early, so it will become increasingly hard to do evening runs.

Good to meet everyone and a real nice mix of cars today. The new Boxster looked lovely and the Stag sounded somewhat angry. Also quite amusing watching Pete; I need a new word for you, unhinged seems insufficient silly.

Thanks for organising it, great to see you again. The Evo looked so well sorted for those roads.

I hope we we weren't too much quieter than you expected in the end smile. Merc ended up as dirty as it has ever been (slight pub hunt gone wrong with Pete finished it off) and I spent the journey home rocking in my seat and murmuring. Still, all clean and tucked up in its bed now.

We got lost heading to the regular true south west meet at Kemble - you know the place, the airfiled near the Midlands.

Glad you lot had fun! I had a mixed time at the Pod. Broke the "need a helmet" 110mph ET threshold, so had to go into town and buy one as forgot to take my own.... Still managed an 111mph trap speed but rubbish starts.

Impressive!! Nearly down to my Supra time of 13.55. Rwd must have helped me get a better start as my end speed was only 107 mph. Sort out your starts (or change to some serious rubber) and you should see a massive improvement.

Glad to see the rest of you had a good run - gutted to miss it as usual, especially with the good weather!

Thanks for the offer Lee, hopefully get to take you up on it sometime.........OMG I was in the wrong car all day.... banghead {No offence intended Giles}..... Just to clarify my navigation skills, I was the one who sent us down the wrong roads before Sidmouth.. wavey
