Weekend Spa Break
Discussion
Hi Graham, go for the TomTom live. There are some deals out there, gives you a bit of info on speed cameras, mobile as well. But the traffic delay and rerouting is fantastic, not much more than standard European. Brought mine from Halfords for about £140 with 12 months sign-up included.
This year get some stickers on your cars you lot, thinking of starting a fine system for anyone not making an effort. Please note the fine will involve nakedness!!!! I know some of you might like this, but trust me, you won't

Last years foray into the countryside in France was fantastic! Great roads and definitely better than the motorway.
As Paul suggested, best to do part motorway then head for a town on an A or B road equivilent for some twisty action
The only problem will be time...or lack of it...
It'll be nearly 1:30pm before we get 'sausage-side' so suppose we will have 4-5 hours to get there...which should give time for some off-autoroute excursions
I'll look at the map and roads to see if I can spot anything interesting.
I've got 4 walky talkies...I'll dig them out when I'm back down south, possibly this weekend as I need to collect the porker to bring back up here.

Does this include cops on motorbikes. Will look on tinternet tonight, daily driver has one installed so it is only for jaunts across Europe, but thinking about it, we are doing LMC 2014, so what the hell. This year get some stickers on your cars you lot, thinking of starting a fine system for anyone not making an effort. I could get hold of some Wilkie talkies, but the last time I tried to use them in the car they didn't work.
I have a couple of commercial grade walkie talkies and they work in the car for about 3 miles range. Plenty to hear Paul shouting "Police, police, police" or "turn right at the ..."Gents
If I were to get some vinyl adhesive "Rally Plates" for our trip, would anyone be interested in buying one ?
I found a company that can do them, they would say something like "Spa Classic 2013" and "Pistonheads"
They would be about 30cm long and be classic tour-plate size & shape.
Price estimate would be about £8-£10 each
They are just for fun, peel them off afterwards.

Tour Stickers are being sent to me later in the week. I have ordered 10 for now.
Anyone that wants 1 or 2 stickers in advance, let me know. Otherwise i'll bring them with me and you can stick em on at the tunnel if you want to.

Having had a quick look, I probably want 3 ! one on each door & 1 on the back.
Cost wise, 7.50 each, £15 for two should cover it - payment by hotdogs, beer or cash
