Paul - That's what I've always done then going up from the SW...much better and makes the next day a whole lot easier!

There's a Travelodge and Premier Inn about 8 miles away.

Edit to add....if you do that, we will come down earlier and meet up for a coffee, so everyone can get to know each other before we all set off.

I will be travelling up from Wiltshire Wednesday early evening at staying at my late Mum's property in Kenley which is near my mate Neil's house in Purley.



I could put a couple of you up in Kenley CR8 5JR , only a small two bed flat but surely better than a Travelodge and safe parking too. Couple of beers Wednesday night then we are about 67 miles or 1 1/2 hour trip down on M20 to Eurotunnel Thursday morning.

Hi.
Neil & I are trying to change work commitments in order to leave on Wednesday afternoon. We should be able to confirm over this weekend.

Paul - What time would you leave on the Wednesday as we should play tag on the way up. Hotel at the tunnel (5 hours) or nearer Maidstone (4 hours) ?

OK we are good to travel Wednesday evening. Should be able to leave about 3.30pm.

Paul, myself & our +1's will be staying up past the M25 somewhere on Wednesday night. I'll book something near Maidstone/Sevenoaks, leaving us 1 hour to travel on Thurs morning and time to eat Weds evening.

We need to sort a place to all meet up on the Thursday morning and a time.

Yes we are staying near the Motorway at Maidstone, so an hour from the tunnel. 10am will be fine. Just let me know where.

Ive been doing some more interweb surfing regarding the Spa Classic.
General concensus is that our campsite is good enough, 6m X 6m pitches that you can fit a car and 4man tent on. The bar and restaurant are good at the hotel and there is a butcher & baker (croissants) just up the road. Several bars and restaurants are in walking distance in Francorchamps or we can drive to Spa town.

People are suggesting we stop at a supermarket before we get to the campsite, to get bottled water and beer ! plus any other provisions you may want. We can do this in French hypermarkets or within Belgium.

Something huge has reared at work that may prevent me from coming

I'm trying to sort in the next couple of days but this may not be possible. So just giving advanced notice... Dammit!

I'll know for sure by Thursday night.

If I can't come I will make sure everyone has mobile numbers etc beforehand and knows where to meet etc.

Fingers crossed I can resolve but it's not looking good.

I can just imagine how much grief you will get for pulling out.....
