Weekend Spa Break

Oh dear

Just read TVR forum with info below, only 20 kms longer but sounds a good route in light of roadworks.

There are some extensive road works in Belgium which will delay you getting to/from Spa.

The information I have is that the worst affected sections are the E40 from Liege to the junction with the E42 and on the E42 between Verviers and Spa.

If travelling from one of the channel ports my advice would be to go via Lille, Charleroi & Namur. This has the ended benefit of missing the Brussels ring road.

We can get the maps out in the morning & plan your alternative route......whats another tank of fuel amongst friends.

We're finishing a massive project, supposed to be 31st May..... The client has had to agree to complete the works by Sunday 26th now in order to let the whole building... Guess who has to now finish it and make sure the deal doesn't fall through...... Yep.....me.....

Not looking good, but I'm trying to plan my way out of it...

Should know for certain by Friday night....but not looking promising.

Have you considered that you could come back earlier, Saturday instead of Sunday. Just a thought if it helps.

Its a bit unpredictable, most people say that you can get all 4 seasons in one day at Spa. So I would take any forecasts with a pinch of salt.
That said, I might just pack a pair of thin throw-away waterproof trousers !

Is anyone taking a gazebo, for those that went to LMC 2012 it made a big difference to have a base camp in front of all our tents. However I borrowed that one so might buy one, we can always use it for LMC 2014/Gray's 50th
