I ended up spending my entire time at the Autosolo as some people I knew were there.

Nate, Louis, thanks for posting this link to your really excellent article - and for Matt's brilliant photos too. When we designed this event, we wanted people to have fun whilst raising money for the Stroke Association and the route we chose was to ask the world of motorsport to put on a show for the public. We aimed to show people who had always liked cars that it is possible to get into motorsport and be taking part - and how exciting that can be. So, it's great that you 'got it' and enjoyed yourselves. And to hit top 3 in your first competitive event (with Nate setting Fastest Time of The Day - FTD) is a terrific performance, well done both of you.
The blog post is great and please keep telling your mates about the event, we want loads more people like you along next year! Thanks for supporting The Stroke Association and for your enthusiasm for Supercar Saturday.

I'm actually Matt, not sure if Nate or Lou are on here. Yeah definitely think about attending more of the BMC events. Made me wish I hadn't been sensible and upgraded to an estate! I don't think it demands quite as quick a turning circle as an Autosolo, not to mention first gear is rubbish and it's all diesely.
I've won pots in lots of unsuitable vehicles. An 1800cc Mondeo springs to mind, as does an 1100cc Clio (in the <2000cc class). The car's largely unimportant for winning classes. It's 100% unimportant for having fun. Turning circle is irrelevant - you rarely hit full lock - and diesels are not disadvantaged.Gassing Station | South West | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
