From a link within it:

Christmas & New Year 1600hrs Thurs 18th Dec to 0800hrs Mon 05th Jan

Might go earlyish one day when there are less cyclists than last year.

I'm hoping to get some pics of the car in snow before it goes, already got my eye on Imber Village if we get any white stuff.

LOL, I honestly thought this was a windup when I first saw the thread!
From someone that has spent many a day/week playing silly buggers running around that place, it's one of the last places I would think of going in my downtime.

But looking at it objectively, yes, I suppose it is quite an interesting place to have a look around when youre not being ragged by DS.

Likewise, many an exercise spent there in the sodding rain! That said, I might take the bike down for a few sunrise shots biggrin

You chose the right year to go. Last year the road from Ladywell (Warminster end of Imber valley) right through the village was more like a river.

Well I'm pleased to say we went this year. Did take quite a few photos although they are a little dark as it was late in the afternoon when we were there.

Bit late but went up again over Christmas, stopped at Imber to take a few photos then drove over to Copehill Down and took some more...

Hoping that my lads Cadet troop will go on an official visit this year, if so they'll probably learn house clearance which should be fun tank
