I would like to come but it depends on work and money, I have just moved back to the SW at the weekend. It's a bit of a trek from Bude but sounds like good fun! I have never been to a PH meet or drive so I don't know anyone, perhaps I'll confirm closer to the time.

Watch out for nocturnal wildlife on the Mendips - I nearly hit a deer a few years ago square on & would have left it & my car in a bit of mess. Hit it hard with a glancing blow from my door mirror, no damage to the Z4 but the beast would have ended up with a dead leg...

That is a good point! There's a lot of deer up there, not mention badgers etc. which aren't very good for your car and vice versa!
