The great British sports car day at Castle Combe 27th July.
I'm booked in for this event and will be travelling up from Chard, Somerset. Is anyone else going and would like to meet up to head up there together?

I might well be there, but will be heading over late, as I'm coming off of night shift. Either a black or a white 306 Rallye smile

I'll be in my black XK8 coupe with the kids (she's working so no escape!!) I'm thinking of going cross country so via Shepton Mallet Frome etc. if anyone wants to meet along the way, otherwise , see you there.

I'm heading up in the morning, completely forgot about it but checked out the website and should be able to display and may get on track if there are any places left.
I'll be the sunburnt chap in the little blue Paramount!

This was a great day out and even the kids enjoyed themselves, the fact that I could take them with me on the laps of the track made all the difference, a good wide range of cars in attendance, definitely one to do again next year!

That must be you, I was no.108 so in the same group and I didn't see any other red TVR's there. Could you hear my V8 over your motor?

I'm afraid I didn't hear yours once on track, it had a lovely burble when we started in the pit lane though..

I don't have the loudest of Wedges but I tried to make as much noise as possible once on the track. - for the spectators wink was also trying to create a little space between us to get a little more speed through corners etc.

Was it the first time for your kids going round a track, what did they think of the track experience?

Yep it was the first time for the kids and they really enjoyed it, we too left a gap from time to time as the pace was a bit slow in places but overall it gave them a sense of being on the track. I'd do this one again next year for sure, not many days out for the kids that don't mean you get home feeling like you've been tipped upside down and shaken dry of all your cash, this was really cheap for a days fun and such a good variety of cars there too.
