Pitville area, Montpellier and the Bath Road areas of Cheltenham are the best IMO. Fairly large range of prices, the Georgian terraces are enormously expensive but there's a lot of very nice, reasonable stuff to be had around Pitville. We're looking to move soon and that's the direction we're hoping to go in- that or the Bath Road way.

As for stuff to do, there are the four main festivals (Jazz, Literature, Science, Music) plus a couple of smaller ones. Lots of excellent places to eat and drink (two restaurants in the Sunday Times Top 100) and fairly decent shopping. Is there anything in particular you're looking for?

Hmmm. Have seen some nice flats n houses on Rightmove facing Pittville park.

( a huge 4.000+ ft2 one sold recently for 650-700 ... Seems kinda cheap for the size and location)

What areas in cheltenham rent out easily? ( if u are familiar with that)

And what areas do the hoi polloi live in? ( I would want to avoid 'ok ish' or rough areas... Stick to better areas)
Don't get me wrong, pittville park is very nice. It is near a place called Whaddon was isn't great.

Pittville and Montpellier are the main rental areas (I rent in Montpellier) for nicer places. Montpellier is right at the top of town (the nicer end), great architecture and very easy access to the M5.

Cheltenham is fantastic for things going on. The usual theatres, restaurants etc but the main bonus are the four festivals throughout the year: literature, jazz, science and one other I can't remember at the moment.

Traffic and parking never too bad. My folks live in bath and it is a nightmare for this.

Feel free to email me through profile if you have any more specfic questions.

Forgot to mention Waddon. The bits of Pitville that are furthest away from it are best wink
