Esso petrol station in Chippenham - water in super unleaded

Hi,

A friend bought some super unleaded for his car, a full tank and it broke down half a mile later. The problem has been diagnosed as water in the petrol as a sample taken out the tank separated in a jar. He is looking at a huge repair bill for this.

Has anyone else experienced this problem in the last week or so? Trying to work out if this is a one off or affecting more people?

Any help appreciated and it is genuinely for a friend ☺
