Me? Thanks, my Picasso was sporting the very best Dorsetshire muck.

(I'm standing behind the MG talking to the owner)

Repeated flybys handbrake turns and burnouts on his way in on the road. Got no problem with people giving it the beans on the way out but that was beyond excessive.

Was that the guy in the 200sx with all the stickers over his windscreen?

A proper "cos I is drift" douchebag

I saw him leave - was he asked to leave?

With idiots like that showing up it will just rile the locals and cause problems, who has banned him?

The Museum Manager, I know her. She was on gate duty today, she also revived many comments about him from people attending as did the other staff. The have photos of him taken by the CCTv system as well so all staff are informed.

I really do not understand how he thought it was a clever thing to do, strange to make such a fool of yourself. Sadly it attaches a poor reputation to those guys with "similar" cars as well (such as the "drift types"), most of whom do not behave like that.

Good to hear that he has been banned. The others in the little group that he arrived in were fine.

Playing devils advocate , he's not the 1st person to floor it leaving the museum and at least he didn't end up in the field opposite like the chap last year.

Not just flooring it....Wheel spinning, and add to that he was doughnutting on the road with loads of smoke/rubber down, doing runs past the entrance at speed.

In todays case it was OTT really, not good....were you there ?

As said, it will sadly fall on the shoulders of the "drift car" drivers which will be a great shame.

I have never been to one yet. Couldn't make today's but hearing of this puts me off a little, but I'm more pleased that everyone else felt the same way as I do reading the posts.

I will make it to one of these one day!! smile

Any pics of todays gathering by any chance?

DO NOT let it put you off in ANY way.

It is VERY rare to see that behaviour....hence the reaction to stamp it out as soon as seen.

Don't let it put you off, it's a great morning out and loads of different genres of cars turn up.

Old matey today doing donuts was very much the exception as demonstrated by the fact he was asked to leave.

Most people turn up, get a bite to eat, have a wander round and natter.

There's normally a group from devon that come up most months , have a look for giles or his facebook page ' somerset car enthusiasts & petrolheads.

+1

Its a great meet. As for the guy who ended up in a hedge that was unfortunate but this morning was just dangerous.

Thanks for the replies!
I am so pleased to hear that it's controlled. It sounds my sort of meet up.

I'm interested in the details of cars and will have a look at anything which is why these meet ups sound so good. I'm also going to get along to the next Exeter breakfast meet if there is one and I have 5 yes 5 PH sticker so the mini will be pledging allegiance very soon biggrin
