Think I'll pop along for a bit. Was really impressed with the place last time I was there.

The F1 is on in the morning, I will be watching that before I do anything else

Damn, I was hoping to bring the F355, but I'm working! Although Nice isn't a bad stand in for Haynes I guess.

A good variety turned out this morning, great to chat to a few of you. The museum was better than I expected and if you claim gift aid when you pay then re-entry is free for a year. Cafe was pleasant but expensive for cooked food.

Not a bad little morning, we must have spent more time in the museum than most because when we came out we were surrounded by regular cars.

Shame it's held the same morning as Queens Square though.

Did any of you guys witness the "incident" out front on the road.

If you will show off, sometimes, it does go wrong.

Must have been after I left, what happened?

Was a good turn out and nice to see some of the cars I recognise from the forum. I need to make more of an effort to chat to people next time.

A lot of guys were giving it beans as they left. I think that is going to be a problem in the long term, but anyway moving on.

A guy went to leave in what I call an old American hot rod. Tried to do an impressive pull away and failed badly, very badly. He lost it quite early on and we thought he had caught it but didn't, mounted the verge on the other side of the road and went through the fence. Couldn't see the front very well but the front wheels were pointing in different directions once he finished.
I don't think I have ever witnessed an accident on the road where you could see it from start to finish. Normally, you just here the bang. It all seemed to happen in slow motion.
No pics I'm afraid as I wasn't brave enough to rub salt into his wounds, but I might be able to get some smile
No one hurt but I think his pride took quite a knock, and his wallet will.

Damn, that's a shame. I thought everyone was well behaved up to the point I left. Just out of interest which hot rod was it? One of the open tops, the Ford Popular with green flames or the 34 Ford Coupe?
