Bristol Tunnel Run 2015
Discussion
Wow! What a great Tunnel Run! Really well organised and thought out. Many thanks to Sandy and everyone else for making it a great event and for organising the weather too. You all must have spent a lot of time putting all this together and it's very much appreciated.
Sorry we couldn't stop for the pub but school beckons for my son in the morning.

Well it was fun while it lasted! 2 tunnels in and my new ignition switch failed me.
After much swearing and trying to dismantle the car using the few tools I had, I managed to reach the back of the switch. I couldn't find anything wrong so put the car back together and tried the key one more time only to find the car started.
Decided to call it a day rather than get stuck again.
Hope it went well for the rest of you.
Shame - we had a great time, make sure that lovely Porsche is on the next one! After much swearing and trying to dismantle the car using the few tools I had, I managed to reach the back of the switch. Cheers
Apologies to the Porsche owner, i should have pre-warned you that for the last 3 Tunnel Runs a Porsche has broken down each time
Glad you all enjoyed it. Thankfully the weather held out for us too. If the weather decides to stay warmish then there may be a chance to squeeze in another run before people tuck away the play toys for the winter. If not we'll get one sorted for early next year

Didnt use much fuel either.....
Nice meeting everybody yesterday, many thanks Sandy for organising the run! Looking forward to the next one.
Sorry if I confused anybody with my second gear reversing light, I'll bring the MX-5 on the next run so hopefully there won't be any little foíbles on the way.
Also worth mentioning that my passenger (a PHer) was complaining on the way home that my TVR was too loud and had given him a headache.

Yes the BKCC (Bristol Kit Car Club for those who don't know) is really great mate. I can highly recommend it. Very friendly and super helpful bunch of people. We have regular meets and do track days too. I can honestly say joining was one of the best things I have ever done. We have some stonking Westies in the club too. It's open to sports cars and classics etc as well as kit cars.

No that was not me at Kemble, my Fury has a Cosworth Turbo in it.
A pic of some Westies at a recent small pub meet of ours....

Depends what you mean by one of the Sunday meets. I am fairly new to PH so don't know much about them but we plan to be at the ADC Queens Square Sunday breakfast club meeting which is a week later than normal due to the Bristol half marathon getting in the way! It's on the 3rd Sunday this month (20th), not the 2nd Sunday. That is a great car meet all round if you have never been? Nice brekky too!
The Sunday before that (13th) we have a run out to Tintern for a chat and something to eat.
