My Mondeo has a pull out arm rest in the rear seats. It's just like the arm rests in many other cars. I'd like it to have a handle to aid in pulling it out from the rear seat uprights.

Below is a pic of a Mondeo armrest that has had a matching handle made. Ths is exactly what I'd like, including the piping (if that's what it is) along the top and bottom edges. When looking at the YouTube video this still pic comes from I can't see any visible stitching on the handle.

My interior is the same red as in the pic and I already have a second colour matched armrest so have a supply of the correct material to make the handle from.

If anyone knows of a person in the Bristol area wh could make me one, and charge Mondeo prices rather than rolls Royce prices that would be great. smile

Or, if someone could explain how ths should be made properly, including what jointing and seam methods I'd like to have a go at doing this job myself.

Matt.
I've that they are good loads of times. The only problem is I can't find them. Lots of people also say they don't trade anymore, and they aren't at the address on their website. The address on their site is close to me, and when I went there it's now a body shop and the owner didn't know where the trimmers had gone. Phew gets people coming every week asking for them, and it's been at least a year since the trimmers left.

I do leather repairs and recolouring but not actual trimming I'm afraid. www.classic-details.co.uk

There is a chap in Gloucester who does trimming and upholstery from his shop on Bristol Road.

AJL Electronics is the name of the shop I think. Have seen some of his work and he's very good

I used Krych Trimming many years ago and they did a great job, since then they have moved to
Unit One, 24 Charlton Rd Kingswood, Bristol, BS15 1HB, 01179 676060. Hope this helps.

Try Pritchards of Claverham. They've done work for me on vintage and classic cars, but I suspect they'll take on more modern stuff too.

Wilf

As per the above posts, the trimmers aren't at that address and haven't been for over a year. They haven't listed a new address or phone number on their website in around two years so may no longer be trading.

I did try an upholsterers in Gloucester Road Bristol, but in the end I did the job myself and am quite happy with the results smile
I'll keep the other trimmers in mind for if and when I get round to installing DVD headrests.
