Cornish types-

Are the roadworks still at Bodmin?

Coming down from somerset on sat late afternoon heading to crantock, is it worth avoiding bodmin ?

I drove down from Saltash to Fistral for a Surf at Friday. Can confirm no roadworks. Once past Bodmin. No idea before there on the A30 but no roadwork on the A38.

A30 past Bodmin (across the moor) is still a lane closed both ways!

Is it worth a detour then?

Won't be leaving taunton until 3 so guess holiday change over will of been and gone by the time we get to bodmin.

Just take the A38 from Exeter and rejoin the A30 the other side of Bodmin.

Went though again today and actually it flowed very quickly today so no issues and no need to divert!

Suggest you start up a new thread throw out a few dates, out side the holidays, and see who signs up. I'm in mate.

Exmoor's my stomping ground i was hoping to tag along with you lot.

I could whack some dates up but i have no idea re decent roads down your way, although a re-run of what happened last year looks ok.

Love Exmoor, but not too many open driving roads more lanes for plodding along enjoying the view. Still an enjoyable drive though.

These seem pretty open to me , getting out of dulvertons a bit narrow though even worse when the hunts on.
