Got a Xmas voucher for supercar drive which is supplied by 6th Gear (Simon of Evo/PH fame) and finally got round to booking the event this coming Tuesday

Anyone else going?

Well it's dry in Exmouth but that could be a million miles away from Combe given how it has its own micro climate at times. biggrin

Pissed it down for a lot of the time, but was still fun

Took out an F Type R and a 430, plus hot laps with instructor in a Focus RS and a R8

Really enjoyed the day

Hat's off to 6th Gear, that is one seriously slick operation they have going there -

The amount of people there was incredible (especially for a very wet day) but it all seemed to run very well.

Think they had a total of 6 artics (including one with mobile catering) and a fuel bowser (something that never even occurred to me!)

Highly rate them and the instructors I had for both the driving and hot laps (guy that took me out in the FRS seemed especially enthusiastic and *ing fast!)

First time I've actually driven at Coombe rather than being a passenger and unfortunately I think I may have the bug for it (despite being very, very st!)

When you go in your own car, just make sure its on a proper trackday, and not an action day, as that love can soon be diminished. wink

I do go and go on track at the Action Days, but only by virtue of a dedicated session for my club. There is no way I'd risk going on track with unknown muppets.

tucks

I was there the same day. Friends 30th, we're bought her time in the atom. She managed to get a 10 min window where it didn't rain!
