Hello my Cornish friends

We are going to Sennen next weekend (Friday which also is half term up here)

How are the roadworks progressing now?
I went through in July and it was two lanes one way and one the other.

As im tugging the caravan id rather stay on the a30 than have to use the a39 to avoid the roadworks.

Thanks in advance

Went back east today and the queues were horrendous going west. Worse than in the summer holidays!

Shame we came back yesterday from Trevedra. Surf was amazing on Thursday and Friday at Gwynver!

I used to spend every summer, half term, Easter holiday etc at Trevedra farm, we used to pitch a touring van there, 6 weeks summer surfing at Gwenver and Sennen every year until I was about 16 cloud9

They have a brand new toilet block being built this winter.

We got absolutely washed out on our last night, high winds on Sunday morning took the awning clean off the van and then the rain came!

Camping by the Atlantic at the end of October great idea!

They had not long built the wooden farmshop and re-done the toilets and showers before we stopped going there.

I remember getting fresh milk from the hatch in the farm building, they usd to serve it in a pint bag and would be warm most mornings!

We used to meet up with 10 or so other families every summer and have a blast, good times.

I used to love turning up each year and seeing how the beach had changed, some years there would be a low tide pool which was ideal for youngsters to splash around in, surf breaks would move from one side of the beach to the other.

So rugged yet beautiful, it would be so calm that you could snorkle out towards Ayre's point (to the right of Gwenver), yet some days there would be 10ft + swells.
