I haven't hardly done anything car related since the track day. Had too much going on. Weather dependent for this though. 4 hours of driving to get wet in a field isn't worth it when I can do that in 3 mins walk from home

We at kitnet.uk will be doing more track days at Combe in 2017 Adam, this time I will have to make sure I can find you and your mate for a passenger ride! I heard from Colin that you did get to go round with him though?

Although the Supercar Saturday is not free to go as a passenger (they all cost varying amounts dependent on the car which all goes to the charity) but it is worth it I can assure you and in a very good cause.

Due to work commitments I can't make this years Supercar Saturday.If anyone wants my place then let me know. It's for track session so previous experience on track is a must and you are committed to the full day.

Drivers will have the unique opportunity to get a ride in the best known Healey 3000 race car in existence with its owner and 'Mr Big Healey' himself, John Chatham. John drove in the first ever running of this event 23 years ago, so it will be a privilege to welcome him back.

Other highlights include multiple Castle Combe GT champion Simon Tilling in his Aston Martin Vantage V12, a spectacular BMW M6 V10 GT car, several Radical SR3s and Dave Hensley's very, very pretty Ford GT40 replica. In all, about 50 cars on track to choose from. Rides from £25 up to £60 and available from 09.00 to 17.00.

We're open from 09.00 until 17.00 with rides running from 09.30. Drift Crew are on at 12.30 and 2.45. Rides from £20 up to £60. Highlights (for me, your taste may differ) are:

• John Chatham drove in the first running of this event 23 years ago and is bringing both of his Healey 3000s as well as a Jaguar F-Type on track and a Mk 1 E-Type to display
• Grant Williams is bringing the ex-works MK1 Jaguar touring car which won plenty in period and also won at Goodwood this year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKJDaNmbZHs
• Multiple Combe GT champion Simon Tilling is running his Aston Martin V12 Vantage
• Looking forward to seeing Doug Watson's BMW M6 V10 GT car in action
• Combe Saloons regular Ray Ferguson is running his new Ferrari California
• I love Dave Hensley's very pretty GT40 replica, as close to a real one as any of us will ever get in
• Four Radical SR3s on track if you want to experience downforce and slicks
• Plenty of Japanese turbo machinery including a Nissan GTR R35

We also have a 'Supercar Paddock' display with pledges of two McLaren MP12s, Mk 1 E-Type, Aston Martin V12 Virage,
Aston Martin DB5, Porsche 996 GT2, etc.

Weather forecast is very good, certainly dry, they say.

The whole thing put together and run by volunteers and every penny donated goes direct to Stroke Association staff on the day.

Weather looks set for a good day, maybe a bit misty at first but most of the cars have lights so that will be alright then

Come early to get the pick of the cars, inevitably stuff withdraws during the day (even though I threaten the drivers...) This is a great bunch of cars and all experienced Combe drivers. And a really worthwhile cause supported by the event too - unusual for charity events these days but 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity on the day.

Thanks Eddie, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday. We think we've got a pretty good selection of cars on track - we're aiming to have something to interest everyone.
I was at the circuit setting up this afternoon and cars were already arriving by 6pm. We have a race team coming down from Lancashire - Vulcan Racing, and even one driver flying in from Dubai to drive. It's amazing the effort and input from so many people, given freely to make this event work.

Hope to see as many PHers as possible along.

We have a very nice Fisher Fury with a CBR100RR motor in it (you can't really call a bike engine a lump, can you?) which is sensible money for a track ride. Or take a lucky dip ticket for a magical mystery ride! The cars are picked for excitement and the drivers are picked for being sensible. We think that's the right way round

The BMC Autosolo is a cracking event and really, you can drive whatever you turn up in and have fun. I think the guy a few years ago doing it in a Bentley Continental GT would be hard to beat for entertainment value.
The event also contributes an increasing donation to the Stroke Association each year but that probably is the proceeds from selling the delicious cakes doing that
This support from the BMC people is tremendous and greatly appreciated.

Owning a Fury myself (Cosworth RS Turbo engined) and also a BEC (GSXR1000 engined) I will be very interested in that one!
