AV8 Cafe Breakfast Meet 20th Nov

Hi Guys,

I have started a breakfast meet for retro and performance car at AV8 Cafe, Cotswold airport, GL7 6BA on the 3rd Sunday of every month. The first one being this Sunday the 20th. if anyone would like to join us it start from 9am with breakfast being served at the cafe until 11:30. We are parking on the old air strip behind the cafe where the propped aeroplane and RC track is.

Hi Ross, I have taken the liberty of promoting this event on my regular forum at kitnet.uk

Being kit car/track car owners we are dependent on having decent weather so I can't say at this stage if or how many will attend but we are ever hopeful.

As discussed over FB I am hoping to be there tomorrow morning and will bring the video camera along. Only thing stopping me will be bad weather!

Damn, only just seen this post... would of come along as I live in Churchdown!

Will try come to a few of these meets when not playing football which I do on a fair few Sunday mornings for Longford.

Yes I believe Vantage man (Dave who organises the Weighbridge Inn monthly meet) used to run a meeting at the AV8.

His meeting is next Sunday in fact. There is a thread here on the SW Forum

So the weather was shocking but we still had a turn out of around 50 cars which is great considering poor conditions.

Yea there is no AV8 meet for December being so close to Christmas so hopefully see some of you in the new year.

I've only just realised that this is a different Aviator pub to the one just down road from me lmao!

I just assumed it was the cotswold airport when it is actually the Gloucestershire airport lol.

Still, decent drive to get to this meet, so if I ever free when it's on, I'll come on down.

So many names to get muddled up with. It's Kemble airfield which is now called Cotswold airport. Staverton is called Gloucestershire airport.

The meet is at Kemble to avoid any confusion.

Also I believe it is the AV8 cafe not the Aviator pub???

Indeedy. A quick Google shows there is a pub called the aviator at Staverton. They should use the old names which are less confusing but I guess you need to attract people to come so using Cotswold and Gloucestershire does this.
