Parking in Redhill? Bristol Airport

Folks,
Off to Spain for a few days at the end of March. It's struck me that my flight out is a fairly sensible time so rather than forking out £40 for parking I could park up in Redhill or a similarly near village and get the bus to the airport. On the way back a cab would seem sensible.
Anyone done this/any sensible suggestions about nearby villages?
