I know it's a bit short notice but if the weather permits I'll be hooning to brecon and surrounding roads at about 6 tommorow morning.
If anyone's interested let me know, other wise i'll let you know how it went.

Mate, 2 1/2 hours of sunny hooning and i only saw 6 other cars before i hit the M4 on the way back.

I started to organise one of these a couple of months ago, recce'd the route and everything, but it didn't seem like there was much interest, so I dropped the idea.

Then let's give it another go.

Quite so.

If I'm about, I'm up for it.

OK,

The first thing is to decide the length of the run

a morning or a full day?

Prefer an early start morning rather than a full day 8/9 hours behind the wheel.

I did a route that lasted about 4 hours, cracking A roads up toward Brecon followed by a fast (if a little bumpy) B road back - I was sweating by the time I got home, the A3 isn't quite as easy to hustle as the old car!!

How does that kind of timescale sound Daz?

If its the B road north of Builth Wells, then I am genuinely scared of it - Alec and I shat ourselves driving this one - one couple in a micra won't forget me drifting one particular corner in a hurry

Bit of a Millbrook Alpine Pass stylee road that not the sort of thing for the big (expensive)fast boys...

As long as includes the A4059 then I'm game - its my nirvana as far as I'm concerned

Hopefully I'll have sorted out my suspension by then

Right then, dispite the fact it was PG it down, i did a run this morning at about 6, the roads i took were. M4, A470, A4059,A4061 and then back to the M4 it took about 2.5 hours.
The last 4-5 miles of the A4061 is a depressingly slow gatso ridden sh1thole so i'll try and search for more roads before it starts getting sunny, any suggestions of roads you know are most welcome and will be thoroughly tested for inclusion.
