White, unmarked Freelander in Taunton yesterday afternoon. Blue lights on the roof, yellow and orange chevrons on the spare wheel on the back. Parked up on a pavement at a cross-roads. Bit of a confusing mixture

Could be a Lexus RX, there are a number of those floating around the South West as unmarked cars, particularly in Wiltshire.

Check for the extra interior and nearside wing mirror to identify this little b@st@rd.
The Talivans are the ones that had me, especially the newish silver Peugeot van with orange roof lights.

Thers an omega in dark blue round my way (taunton)but it must be coming to the end of its service as its a 53 plate easily recognisable in good light due to collection of aerials and strange wingmirrors.

Im fairly sure the white Freelander is an ambulance vehicle. I work for Land Rover and remember servicing it no so long ago.

Unmarked BMW X5 filling up next to me in Chippnham last night
V8 version, black in colour

Reg plate WX55 VZF

Very stealthy looking thing, no visible aerials / extra mirrors, but the exhaust was a touch fruity.

Talking to the driver, Wiltshire now have a few Lexus RX300's as well, although he wouldn't give me the plates!!

Saw this chappy parked up on the M5 tonight between the Tiverton and Wellington junctions. Are 'Avon and Somerset' police able to pull somebody over in a 'Devon and Cornwall' area?

Where exactly, and at what time? Just in case I accidentally "escaped" him but should expect some post...

Yes, a police vehicle is a police vehicle wherever it is and has the same powers to stop vehicles / arrest etc etc. However, why on earth A and S would be poaching on D and C's patch is beyond me, far too much going on in our patch...

Not sure which way around it was to be honest, but I guess it's just because the nearest two motorway junctions are either side of the Devon/Somerset border. Just something I've always wondered

Now that reminds me........ A few weeks ago I was heading towards Devizes, when in the opposite direction came a marked X5, closely followed by 2 unmarked X5's at speed.

If they're so busy, why did they spend 15 minutes following me (abiding by ever law in the book cos I spotted 'em) and then waste a further 15 mins booking me for a reg plate violation? Must be really busy. Planks

Is your index plate standard or illegal?
