Thanks for that Richard, nice to hear from you to!
As usual you have you nose shoved so far up you own arse, that you don't see the whole picture.
Glad to see the D+C TVRCC are making all members welcome as usual. At least I can make my point without resorting to personal abuse.
I think perhaps you should check what your own RO said to the organiser of said event before you take the moral high ground John.
Knobs and plonkers - how do you define personal abuse then?

Actually, I'm slagging the self import knobs who call themselves the Devon and Cornwall TVRCC. I know when they meet up for ice cream and cream teas, I avoid the unfriendly bunch of two faced plonkers as much as possible.
I'd like to say they speak very highly of you too, but of course I can't.
Talking of self important pricks, I remember you now. You're the self important prick with TVRCC Splinter Group sticker in the window of his Cerb.

This event was adopted by the region as their monthly official meet. Don't believe me? Read last month's Sprint (you are a member , right?). They also promised to support the charity, but in the end didn't, or at least haven't so far. Another freedom of choice then?
Fact is, a lot of pathetic excuses were made and promises broken. As it happens ten TVRs turned up and not one of the monthly 'regulars'.
The fact of the matter is I guess that few wanted to turn up to the event, they probably realised who would be there.

Were you actually there?
No, I wasn't the job gets in the way most of the time.
However, you can rest assured I'll be real sure to say "howdy" if our paths ever happen to cross again.

are you guys having any cars "on show", or are you just going as a social group? how might i be able to recognise you lot?
Chris,
There'll be a big group of TVR's on show, big TVR flags, and a TVRCC Banner - you won't be able to miss them!
Ignore what's being posted on this thread and make contact with them, they really are a nice bunch of guys.
As with most things in life, it's best to make your own mind up about these things.

Going to turn up then?
Couldn't manage to turn up at Saltash for your meet, combined with a charity event - not one of you. Shame on you.
Charity Events maybe you should ask Alan at Peninsular about certain charity events!!!
John, I fear this has to be just another immature dig at one of my events. Yes you are correct, at the charity event I organised last year Alan did kindly offer tea and biscuits to anyone who wanted to pop into Peninsular prior to 'Charity Fund Racer' at Haynes last year.
You are also correct that no-one actually attended Peninsular prior but please don't forget that a net figure of £1,400 was raised for Marie Curie and the British Heart Foundation by people from this area and beyond.
Apart from a kind donation from Nick Brotherton zero money came from D&C TVRCC which is a shame - let's hope you never need either of these charities help eh John?

Hi Stuart, he's easy to spot he's the one with all the flies around him[/quote]
Hmmmm!
How to improve the attendance of your monthly meets. You do realise there are tens of TVRs in Devon and Cornwall that don't attend your monthly WI meetings simply because you are a clicky bunch of stuck up snobs don't you? Your comments on here are really do wonders for promoting yourselves. Carry on.
Mr Westerleigh, I don't think we have met, well not face to face anyway. Perhaps you shouldn't judge everyone by your own standards. You'll fit right in with all the wannabe's in the D+C car club, especially if you bring your Aston to a meet. Then you'll know what flies all over you feel like.
Yet again both Richard and Corin have missed the whole point of The TVR Car Club. Its a club (association for pursuance of common interest)for TVR enthusiasts, not a platform for individuals to try and promote their individual "events" but then some people are always going to be social misfits.

John you are very quick to single me out for saying nothing reference the club.
This is Pistonheads by the way.

Looks like it's not worth bothering with them if the contents of this thread are anything to go by.
Where's that handbag smiley??

Perhaps you can explain why then, whenever I have ever turned up at a D+C meeting I have been treated like a leper? I have always turned up in my TVR, I have always brought my family along because apparently the club likes to promote a friendly family atmosphere. The fact is, members of the region have in the past (and still do) have a problem with Corin. Therefore, because he is my friend I am guilty by association. I was prejudged before I even opened my mouth. The local region is a clicky bunch of tossers if you ask me. The same old few go to the same old places every month. Not much vision there is there?
ooeerr.. push me shuve you, I'll scratch yer eyes out...
I'm gonna give the meet a miss i think...Ive never understood this bickering between groups of TVR owners, I dont think it happens with any other group, certainally not the Lotus lot anyway... just enjoy your cars guys FFS!

Short term memory loss?
