Decent night club in Bath?

I'm having my stag weekend in Bath in a few weeks & I'm loking for a couple of decent nightclubs.

No 150 decibel hard house or 14 year olds out with their mothers please...

Somewhere with some good tunes & a cosmopolitan crowd would be perfect.

For a great little bar that has a small dancefloor try The Common Rooms at the top of town. May be a bit small for a stag do though. More club-like places are Po Na Na (North Parade) and Qube (South Parade) both near the centre. As is the Huntsman which is a pub with a dancefloor.

Avoid Cadillacs (or Club Xcel now I think); truly terrible, but bound to be some Hen nights there

er what about the Blue Rooms?

and the others ,mentioned above.

er also avoid the roundabout, i ended up in quite a bad way in that place

Blue Rooms is a good shout. Never heard of the roundabout (I obviously don't get out much )

Don't know about qube mate, I been in there a couple of times and thought I was in a vietcong tunnel network, not the biggest of places and a weird layout.

Pretty normal for most Bath clubs though.

There's some bizarre bylaw that makes it difficult to get a club licence unless the place is underground, so lots of the Bath clubs are in the vaults under the buildings.

Yea now you mention it they are mostly under bulding, how strange, I would have thought the health and safety crew would have gone mental...its not easy climbing up and down steep staircases whilst heavily intoxicated!
