Is that a regular haunt for you guys in the summer then? I stayed there last night and will definitely go back - guess I've no excuse not to bring the Tiv away on business now.....

We've been a few times - the pub's great and the drive out isn't bad either!

I know Asian Spicy can put a table together for us and the curry is proven to be good
Can meet up in the Prince of Wales on Gloucester Road. Parking is easy too...

With warring parties disputing which place did the better curry and arguing about table polans in Alma Vale Road, this may be a good suggestion, reverting back to the Gloucester road place we've been to a few times where the curry is indisputably excellent.

And there I was hoping for an excuse to drive my new practical estate vehicle

I seem to have bagged my self a bargain. You know the ZT-T that was advertised on here that I was lusting after*? The bloke who owns it needs the money and has dropped the price to a point that I can't say no
*The supercharged one...
You've bought Peter C's dreadnought?!?!

I did SERIOUSLY think about PC's car....I'm actually quite glad it's sold now..otherwise I may have been too tempted. The issues of reliability with the tuning and the fact it's no longer in production put me off.
Still think I'll end up with a V70R

- now you need a trip to pistonfest to get it on a track....
Guess you won't be getting an ambulance then? Is it big enough to sleep in?
Pipe and slippers - ooh, suits you, Sir!

Edited to add ritual abuse...

I had the same thoughts, but the engine is basically the Mustang lump and is pretty much bombproof. Likewise parts should remain available, barring body panels which might put the insurance up.
I was seriously considering this car anyway, and when he dropped the price I couldn't not buy it. On full chat it sounds like a tie fighter
