sports car owners needed!
Discussion
I can't believe how little imformation has been forthcoming with this event. I have had this pencilled in my diary for the last couple of months and have even arranged for my kids to be looked after on this day, but still don't absolutely know if it is going ahead or not????????????
I have been looking most days for further info but nothing as yet?

Me too, we've made it the Devon TVRCC monthly meet and there may have a race car coming along but....I have been looking most days for further info but nothing as yet?
Hi guys,
sorry for the lack of info, I was awaiting some response from Lambo and Ferarri owners, some of which said yes (along with an Atom, Noble and other supercars) but it seems they have all gone very quiet, which is a bit sad really, as it seems that the only people who care about things like this and genuinly helping are you guys (no offence to those who are not) but mostly TVR owners, and although I am sure a TVR day would be good, its not exactly what I had in mind. I really hoped for a better response from people who initially said yes, I am sure you can understand. I will give it one more go to get some of these cars along (I have a Marcos and Viper lined up).....sorry!!

I know where I'm not wanted. Hi,
I am so sorry but due to the lack of interest from supercar owners (we hoped to get a at least one lambo, noble, Ferarri and Aston) I will have to pull this. I am sorry to everyone who had been very kind and planned trips, you are very kind people, but I hope you understand that the initial response from the supercar owners was good, but having emailed them several times with no response I can only assume they are now unable to attend.
Thanks again, so very sorry to waste everyones time.
Mark

I have been particularly dissapointed with this event being cancelled just because a couple of Ferraris and Lambo`s couldnt turn up, I`ve been to many car shows and with most so called super cars in attendance, the TVR`s draw most attention from all age groups, I`m certain that the kids at the hospice would have loved it, even without a lambo or bloody ferrari
a very dissapointing bit of organisation IMHO, the hospice has been denied raising a few quid, and putting a few smiles on some faces of kids who really deserve a bit of fun in their lives.
sorry to rant on, but I put my name down for this months ago, booked a hotel for the weekend, and booked and paid my car ferry fare, as I live on the Isle of Wight, so all in all thats best part of £230 lost, as its been left to late to cancell without incurring loss of full payment.
I`ve decided to make use of the weekend away anyway rather than throw the money down the pan, so where are you local tvr boys and girls meeting on saturday then?

Feeling let down. What about those little kids at Little Bridge House. http://www.chsw.org.uk/ I quote from their front page
"Children's Hospice South West is dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives. With your support, we can continue to care for more children and their families every year"
One blessing is that Mark has not made an entry in chsw event calendar. Did he contact NDDC for a permit to park 40 cars on The Square Barnstaple (not that I think you would have enough space) so was this ever going to happen anyway or does the first line of the thread say it all
"I am a professional photographer"
Personally The chimp will now be on sorn from Tuesday night and I will work Sat 4th instead of taking a days holiday.
What a bugger.
