Tidy looking oldish black Golf in North Common just now.
Not a huge Golf fan but it looked in good nick. It started up and sounded pretty fruity so I thought nice car, chav exhaust. Then it pulled away. Sounded great and went as well as it sounded. Surprised me.

2 engine rebuilds your doing something very wrong then or just bad luck is hanging over you

I need to get another ph sticker for the new lorry so I shall order that very soon

It was at the East Somerset Railway this afternoon.
There was also some interesting cars at the Bath and West showground for the model and hobby show. Focus RS, MG ZT260 and Maserati all seen.

On M5 (S) yesterday afternoon, an aqua blue Aston Martin Vantage convertible. Reg plate was 'RV12 AML' (Thought the AML may be a nod towards Aston Martin Lagonda)

Cam bolt holding the timing gear on stripped, valves stopped, pistons didn't! 5 bent valves and 3 bent pushrods. Luckily no major damage to pistons, just a slight nick which a light emery paper removed.
New aluminium big valve cylinder heads fitted now.
