This was an excellent day. Many thanks to Steve in his R8 it was a great car and very rapid. Did anyone else hear about the 'Classics at the Castle' event also running at Sherborne the same day? A couple of my mates went to this instead but not much of a mention on here?

Just got home from a most enjoyable night away in the New Forest. Many thanks Graham for inviting me to the event which myself and family enjoyed very much.

Really glad that 3 people got a go in the F40 - hopefully I didn't hold back too much smile. They all seemed to enjoy the experience which was nice. It is always very satisfying to give lifts to people who are evidently so keen on all sorts of cars.

Well done all round and on raising so much money for a very worthy cause.

Cheers

Mike

A big thanks to the team for organising a great day. You even booked the weather as well. I managed to get through a full tank of fuel on the charity rides and the response I got got back from the passengers made it worth while. Also a big thanks to the guy who lent me his helmet for the passengers to wear judging by the amount of dead flies on mine it would have been a bit uncomfortable for them.

Fantastic day guys, and great work on raising that amount.

For those that came out in the R8 I hope it was worth the donation! I certainly enjoyed doing the runs especially the one with the Viper smile
Ditto hehe After i first saw you appear in the mirror and mention it to my passenger, he was looking in his mirror almost more than looking ahead smile Enjoyed driving up and down the same circuit as a few other fine machines - a rare sight seeing an F40 and a few friendly flashes from Caelum's Gallardo coming the other way as well as Steve sticking on behind for the fun moves amongst the sunday drivers! Enjoyed providing the few rides for Henry and his Dad (will keep an eye out for the Cerb next meet!) and of course Dr. Kel - any pics yet?? biggrin Top event again Graham, Sandy and ...everybody!

Great meet, I really enjoyed myself. Many thanks to the organisers, and of course everyone that turned up.

I've put some up on Facebook. Hopefully the gallery is visible to all, I'm not really sure how everything works in terms of what those without accounts have access to.

Great day and great people! The VXR8 loved the country drive and charity runs (Steve hope your dad enjoyed it) Big thanks to all who let my little mini me sit in their cars. Trouble is try explaining to a 3year old you can't take them all homebiggrin

Was my first PH event and look forward to seeing some of you again sometime soon.

First things first.....Thanks very much once again to Graham, Sandy and Cinders for organising the event and looking after us so well. Had a great day, good to catch up with Harvs, Ruth and wider family, good to meet/chat to Chris, and a very nice house to look round once we'd had our fill of the car show. Really impressed that it stayed dry!

I also enjoyed my charidee drive out - despite a bit of clutch burn early on and the squeeling brakes on the way back! The traffic was a bit frustrating, but we managed to make some gaps and showed that the old girl can still accelerate a bit. biggrinbiggrin (Note to self....remember to take advantage and go for some drives myself next time instead of waiting like a lemon by my car!)

Bonus was to win not just one raffle prize. The LC will definitely benefit from a professional detail! But two....so hopefully once I buy a bullet camera and clamp I'll be recording my laps at Castle Combe next year. More than made up for no wins at Sherborne!! Many thanks to the generous prize donors.

I forgot to take my camera this time so just got a few snaps with Fran's phone

Phil, Dad was very impressed indeed! Wouldn't be surprised to hear a VXR8 appearing on his drive sometimes soon!
