Is it just me being a bit sad, or does anyone else experience this? But after an event like this my head is just filled with things car and driving related. Especially when you've also had a 'sirited' drive....
So all the things like having a normal conversation with my wife are out of the window. Car mags are found, PH is scrutinized, the classifieds are opened up......
Sad, sad, sad.... Even went to my favourite pub in the country yesterday evening and spent most of the time talking cars and driving....
I'm so glad it's not just me. I'd hardly stopped talking about the Sherborne meet, when Kingston Lacy arrived. Work didn't know what hit them Monday morning when i walked in, cars cars and more cars on the agenda. Nice!!!So all the things like having a normal conversation with my wife are out of the window. and anyone visiting will get the complete run down on the pics.
So good to meet everyone, and i really hope the charity rides can be done again.....I want to be first in the queue, but which one....Viper, R8, F40, VXR8.....Ahhhhh i'll go for the lot.
To add my twopennyworth, can I also thank all those who organised Sunday's 'do'! The old lady (Corvette C4) and I did a 500 mile round trip to be there and it was a BLAST! Loved the trip down... she needs a gallop every so often. Loved seeing everyone else's treasured possessions. The venue was terrific.
BUT I GOT LOST!!! Had a great ride up zig zag hill, Corvettes ain't made for hairpins, but it was fun trying. I think this was deliberate sabotage.... someone rewrote my directions 'cos they knew I would win the noisy bugger contest.
Found myself at 4.30 still 10 miles away from Lulworth Cove, so I assumed you'd all gone by then and went for a beer. Hah! Just wait till next year!!
Anyhow; it was great meeting you all. Many thanks for the welcome, and a wonderful day.
