I'm confused - where does the itn start? I thought the run began at some place called the Air Balloon?
We start at the Air Balloon.... the first waypoint is set as Gypsy Patch Lane (or should be) which is just up the road from the pub.

Didn't think it was worth putting a waypoint for the start pub as you just navigate to BS34 7PY.

Is there a google map for the run? I'm not sure my mrs' TomTom One can cope with itn files, I'll check it out later

Unfortunately Google maps will not allow enough waypoints to be set (we've had a lot of messing about with it).

Sandy will be printing a directions sheet to backup the TomTom if things go wrong or for people without satnav.

But I reckon you'll likely not need to worry as we'll regroup a few times after the more difficult lights / junctions.

PS. If she has an original One it should be ok. The newer V3 doesn't have an itinerary function (I took mine back and got an XL).

If google maps isn't doing it for you then just download a free piece of software called Tyre (www.tyre.tk) and you can view and create itn files and print them out as google maps and all sorts.

I use it for all the routes i create around Thames Valley and London. Excellent tool.

P.S. Found the pub, directly north of a big roundabout on the A38 right? biggrin

I'm also going across from Rogiet - could meet anyone coming from the West at Magor Services perhaps?
Sounds like a plan, what time do you want to be there for? think about 16:00 to 16:15 as not sure what the traffic will be like at that time on a Saterday.

I've had a few problems with the itn file, has anyone else? Now gone through it in Tyre and made some corrections but i have a question, what happens at The Street? Are we supposed to do a U-turn somewhere?

Yes there are two problems on the route because TomTom thinks they are no through roads.

One is Shellards Lane, the other is Hollywood Lane by Cribbs. We shall just keep on going and the TomTom will eventually work it out. biggrin

Any chance you can send me the file with all the directions? I'm in the middle of sorting out what Google Maps seems to think the route is and just trying to tidy it up a bit. Just thinking it could be worth having a look at the other file.
