BBC Weather looks rainy in South Wales and down towards Weston way but Bristol itself looks clear.

We're in Portishead at mo and the sun is trying it's best to get through the layer of cloud biggrin

Won't be seeing much of that today! Guess what I'm saying is the Beeb looks like it may be quite heavy rain down your way - but Bristol looks clear (so don't cancel!) wink

Alternating between sunshine and showers here in Bristol.

Is anyone travelling around the A4174 to get to the Air Balloon later?

That's a point - carreauchomper (who I think is a copper) was saying about coming on the run in the Tunnel thread.
Just seen this thread... Might be a bit late notice for me to come but I am fairly confident that there will be no BiB interest in a convoy of noisy buggers so long as there is no really silly driving along the way!

Convoy of barried-up Saxos maybe scratchchin

And I hope you weren't suggesting I was a mole V8S? silly

Just popped into work at Aztec to do a spot of revision :-( and noticed just past the Air Ballon Pub in a layby is an unmarked 5 series touring checking number plates with a couple of police cars by the royal mail sorting office and a few more by the speed camera at patchway.

Whilst I dont expect them to be there all day they are in the area maybe carrying out a few checks before they call in at the pub at 5ish.

I remember a year or two ago coppers turned up at a PH meet at Virginia Waters - they were doing number plate checks. Funny thing was, at that exact time a couple of miles away thieves made off with a cash point machine using a digger!

You can't help but think 'go and catch some criminals please!'

I think I'm gonna have to bow out guys - it's raining here in Hampshire. I don't do rain (roof on, near death experiences, etc..) Also, it's a couple of hours to Bristol - so it's a but of a punt for me.

Nah, they will not be interested. Day shift is only 7-3 in any case. Honest. It's just a good arterial route to do a bit of ANPR work on a calm Saturday.

Got your email thanks Sandy. I work in WsM so by the time I've actually finished, got back home (for sat nav) and then got to you guys I'm probably going to miss out on most if not all of the run, but may give you a call depending what time I actually get out of here.
