My OH has managed to kerb one of the alloys on the new car I collected at midday. Suffice to say i'm less than happy.

Can anyone recommend an alloy wheel refurbisher in Bristol - the wheel is one of these

with a matt titanium finish.

TIA,

Tony

Wonder Wheels, Bristol - just did a colour change and refurb on my M3 wheels and I'm VERY happy with the result! (chap does a lot of work for main dealers)

I wouldn't go near him with a barge pole!!!

He ruined two wheels on the Aston and then when I asked him to come and fix them he suddenly stopped taking my phone calls, even though he offers a 1year
guarantee.
Avoid at all costs....

Hmm, quite a few on here sang their praises prior to me calling them?

Not good Dave, who did you end up with then?

I ended up getting the local chips away guy to correct the crap work he did.
I honestly could not believe how bad he was with getting him to correct the problem.

Blinking 'eck, wish I'd seen the post about Wonder Wheels before .....what a cock up....they were so bad I didn't even have the energy to argue with the guy!!! It's a 'wonder' they are still in business.....utter rubbish refurb and a waste of money!!!!

Hadn't seen this bad workmanship since I took a car to Central Garage, Bath Road, Bristol....the car came out with more scratches and dents then it went in with....and then they got pissy with me when I pointed them out.....geez!

Lepsons in Swindon have done two sets of alloys for me and several others on my recommendation. All to a very high standard and on time.

Mate at work had his Alfa alloys done there and again, great work

But then, Lepsons do seem to have literally THE best rep in the country and the Kent based office comes highly recommended by PH'er Kelly (KDS Keltec) who was at the Wilton show with some prime examples of their work on his TVR

'Wonder Wheels' have a running theme here don't they? He painted (badly) over dirt on my wheels and they were flaking and bubbling within a week! He then refused to answer his phone and just kept texting he'd be in touch! His invoice states 'wheels as good as new' - yeah right. £200 wasted!!!! I'm reporting him to 'trading standards'....if they get enough complaints then maybe they'll close him down!

I'm going to try Lepsons in Swindon in a few weeks.

+1 for the wheel specialist in Cwbran.

Did my wheels in a day despite me cocking up and arriving late.

I've got another set to do and have no qualms about going back.

Will be picking up my M3 E46 18" OEM wheels(spare set I bought for winter use) from Lepsons today, not bad seeing as I dropped them off last Thursday and they reckoned Tuesday/Wednesday for collection

smile

I'm having them finished in BMW flat silver rather than original shadow chrome as Lepsons Swindon would have to send them off to the Kent branch to keep the original finish and its £100/wheels for this

Also I just dont want the hassle of them having to be re finished (I appreciate this is unlikely with Lepsons) and I've got CSL's on the car for main use

Will post pics up later

I've just had my wheels refurbed and did a lot of research and all the threads I read didn't really recommend the mobile refurb process as a long term solution.

I had my wheels refurbed at Platinum in Swindon. First class job and I think they have loan wheels whilst your are being done. My wheels took 3 days (it actually took 4 days as I wanted the centre caps done as well and that added the additional day)

Best of luck
