Looks awesome mate, like the colour. I think that dark red will be the new colour to have soon. It seems to be getting used on a lot of pre release cars at the moment like the new MP4-12C convertible, the new Pagani etc.
thanks Jim - looking forward to that new car smell, you know the one where it smells a bit like burning £20 notes smile

Another oops smile Was trawling through ads as I was considering a job with a 120 mile round trip commute - diesel needed. As the Z3 is my only car, and I'm shortly buying a house to renovate, clearly an estate is a good practical choice. I turned down the job but by then I had already fallen in love with the idea of an Alfa 156 Sportwagon. So I bought one anyway biggrin

It didn't really fulfil the criteria of very cheap, super reliable or extremely spacious for an estate. But it's an Alfa and I'm massively (stupidly!) in love with it cloud9

Yes, it does already have special Alfa electrics, knocking front suspension and some bits that need looking at, but the 2.4JTD is a fantastic engine - who ever knew that actually turbo diesels are quite fun?!

Plan is to keep it and enjoy. The new house will entail being able to build a large garage which will eventually be fitted out workshop style (since I keep buying projects...). Probably remap it as some point too.

So, this is Alfie, making up my small but perfectly formed budget stable:

Interior is beautifully finished and luckily immaculate:

After a few years in the diesel Mondeo and old Jeep wilderness, I now have something to share!

Here is my new (to me) 325i, freshly detailed and parked in front of Highcliffe castle yesterday. I like it a lot.

Sold the Bathurst "S" and have moved on to the GTS, standard at present but soon to be played with by Walkinshaw Performance. Have to say it is a bit bright and it's been nicknamed "The Flying Banana".

The "S" had 661BHP and we think 700 is on the cards.

I didn't like the new 3 or 5 series to start with but they're really starting to grow on me now, yours looks really nice, I've seen a couple of white 5 series on the M3 recently and I'm really starting to like the look of the back of them yes

Well my last E60 M5 was an 05 which I had for 3 years and did 130,000 miles in! I must admit I threw my toys out the pram at they announcement of a 550bhp F10. Sure sure it¡¦s a little bit quicker and YAY it¡¦s more economical (YAWN) Having test driven 4 of them now yes they are quicker... but I still maintain that 43 bhp more is NOT progress and still believe BMW have sold out to all the tree hugging hippies trying to reduce emissions. So as you know I bought the DB9..... NOT a nice place to be as daily driver doing 40,000 miles a year! A lovely place to be on a sunny day for a Sunday hoon, but for every day use up and down the motorway... obvious really what a tt I was ƒº

Anyway rant over.... I did take a regular F10 for 4 months and did 14,000 miles init. I HAVE to say without doubt it was the best car I¡¦ve had as daily driver, BUT for the exception of the power... So when I found out that a 2010 E60 M5 had the same user interface/Software as the F10 I was delighted! Took me a while to find it, but it has everything, vented seats, active seats, HuD, individual Hi-Fi, comfort access, online portal, highbeam assist, extended leather, alacantra headliner, blinds, extended voice control, heated steering wheel, sun protection glass, USB interface, DAB, DVD player, TV, etc etc, you get the picture! 11,000 miles on her smile

So I¡¦ve gone from M5 Mark, to DB9 Mark now to M5MarkM and back in a wonderful screaming V10 M5!

Here's mine! I've been lurking on here for a while mainly because I think I lost the will to hoon in a sea of company diesel cars that aren't much fun. So anyway as I drive about 15 miles a day I thought I'd go old school and drive something fun and actually is cheaper for me to run than my company car that has just gone back (09' Golf TDI).

I would like to get along to one of the events as a long term PH'er!

I posted a thread on it here; http://pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&amp...

Is there a poster on here with a numberplate ending GKP who drives an Aston? I was sure today I saw someone with a PH sticker on the back of one.
