For my recent mid-life crisis I demanded asked nicely for one of the following -
1. a tattoo
2. a piercing
3. a mistress
4. a toy car
Well, bugger me, she said have the car!
So this arrived this week.....
Looks there will be two Boxsters around the South Coast meets now then as I'm in the process of buying a 2008 RS60 for trackdays and fun days the one I have bought has Carbon Ceramic brakes so I'm hoping I won't be cooking my brakes after two laps now. I was at a Porsche garage trying out a 997 911 Turbo S and a couple were just taking out an RS60 so when it came back I asked to have a go, must have been the active suspension or something but it brought an instant grin to my face and a rather pale look salesmans face but I loved it. So I've put the 911 on hold till the depreciation has levelled out a bit and will enjoy the Boxster for a few years. Does yours have active suspension or Sports Chrono? 1. a tattoo
2. a piercing
3. a mistress

Hello!
Here's my new toy! Happy much?! I'm so thrilled! It's a BMW Z4 3.0i SE with a lot of Sport kit on it.
I can't believe it cost about a third of my BMW Z4 M Roadster, as it really is 80% of the car! It's quick, sounds great, looks good and is much better on fuel. I'm very surprised with how tight the car feels considering it's age and mileage, it really does drive like a new car.
Only a couple of jobs to do with it really, Luke, I need you to machine polish the car, especially the bonnet, which seems to have gone a bit flat and lost it's shine, the front bumper needs painting as it's so badly stonechipped some of the paint is flaking and there's a scuff on it, the rear brake light is cracked so needs replacing and the BMW badges could do with being replaced. Other than that, it's in really good condition. I've clayed and hand polished the car this morning which has got rid of all the tar and tree sap and the paint is in really good order. I'm sure it will come up really well with a machine polish.
Spec wise, it's pretty high....
M Sport electric memory leather seats
Illuminated Z4 door sills
Professional sat nav and computer
DSP stereo (which is bloody amazing!)
Parking sensors
M Sport 18" wheels
M Sport rear spoiler
Wind deflector
Cruise control

Thanks all, I am loving this car! Particually the PSE (switchable exhaust), I farted and popped my way through Lyndhurst this afternoon, much to the embarassment of SWMBO, should I tell her you can turn it off?
Jim - considering I ply my trade along the M27 each day, your comments worry me.
Charlie - still have the C63, in fact its probably the best car I've ever owned.
Birma - yes and yes, I went a bit crazy with the spec - it's impossible not to, regarding the drive/chassis, I went for PDK, PSE, PASM and sport chrono.
Dan - good to see you back in Z4, enjoy.
Look forward to the next brekkie meet.

That looks like a lovely clean example Tony, replaced the Rallye?
Stef
Yes it will be replacing the Rallye. I still have it at the moment but its up for sale.Stef
The body needs a few dents removing and some paint but its a sound solid car with no rust, low mileage and a stack of history.

I work in Fareham (cams estate), watch out for a grey Impreza RB5 in the area!
I live in Southsea at the moment but the other half is pressurizing me to move to Fareham. Although table crazed women put me off somewhat
