Ok. This is Mrs R36vws latest car....what is it with women and colour?
Saying that at least it's a cooperS. Great fun go-kart for not so grown ups. :-)
Yes...the colour is marmite every extra nearly so comfy, I'll pitch up at a PH monthly meet at some point with the curlers and blow dryer.

Alloys were refurbed as shown in 3rd pic by TWS Ferndown. Top job!

Went into my local Audi dealer Wednesday night to book my red S4 in for a service and somehow ended up driving this out the showroom at 9am this morning!

Hi,

New to the forum having bought an M5 a few months ago. My previous car was a Z4, also pictured. The new car is a whole different ball game! Recently had the Eisenmann race exhaust fitted (sounds epic!) and looking forward to getting involved in some of the local meets smile

After much dithering and trying a Cayenne Turbo S, Lexus LS600h, Lexus ISF I have finally bought myself a luxo-barge in the form of a VW Phaeton V10 5litre diesel.
It has a stonking sound system, each of the four seats are air conditioned/cooled and also have a massage function, double glazed its a silent wafter with 750 nm of torque which is lovely and catches many a car out at the lights as it goes like a bullet out of a gun, and so far 30 mpg might get it re-mapped to silly figures but not sure yet. It's only done 50K miles by a doctor who ran it at 30mph most of the time so it needed a good clearing out
.

Thanks, it has a wonderful party trick when you turn the ignition on the polished wood facias roll up and the vents are revealed, then the steering wheel and seats go into your preferred position from the easy out and in position. In the rear the headrests move up when you sit in the seat, if like me you like gadgets this car is nirvana I'll be buggered if the go wrong though.

Seems like the perfect car for winter! As a second car to the VX220 this would tick all the boxes for me, quick, quiet and extremely comfortable!. I'd love one for the commute but i'll have to stick to the VX for now... How do these compare to an S class in price?

Very cheap, but they have a fearsome reputation for maintenance so it's a bit of a gamble, some have done starship mileage with no issues some have been suicidal money pits, but hey I've run a Lotus Esprit V8 and an RX7 so big engine bills don't phase me. I paid £10K for this one, you can get the odd V6 3 litre diesel for similar money but after the V10 they are a bit pedestrian but nonetheless as nice equipment wise with the right spec. The rip off road tax applies to later 2006 models which is a shame and probably effects the retail value to some degree. They are also four wheel drive so with winter tyres should be good.

The rear model designation will need to be re-arranged from PHAETON to PHAT ONE at some time too.

It was very nice sitting in this today. Stunning car. Thanks for letting me jump in the back, I'm glad Pete stopped you as you were driving off! Certainly a car to consider in the future.

Thanks, glad you liked it, if you can get a good one they are well worth it but according to 'How many left' there were only 25 four seater versions like mine registered over here. Although the 5 seater LWB has the same front seats only the four seater has the super luxury individual rear seats.

Recently skinted myself. Every so often I kept thinking I wanted to change to an Evo just to try it out for a short time but I think I might have fallen deeply in love! I knew I wanted an MR FQ 360 in the dark grey and managed to find the exact car in Essex. Felt like giving the guy the deposit money there and then but managed to hold out after my test drive hehe

Still got the GP to sell. I have really enjoyed it and enjoyed the last 2 years with it but I'm not going to regret moving on smile

Well its sort of new to me. Bought it May, had it for 3 weeks then i had to leave it at home whilst i return to Afghanistan until Oct! Its been looked after by Aston Martin at Newport Pagnell whilst i have been away but will be back with the other half in the next few days then hopefully she will be driving around the Verwood, Ringwood and Bournemouth area.
I was beginning to think they only came in black or grey, Like it in the red
Petop - Were you at Tesco in Branksome on, I think, Tuesday evening? Pretty sure I parked next to you.

Never looked in regional part of forum till the other day. Hopefully will make a few meets next year. I've been building a kitcar which is now road registered so I guess that makes it new even though had it a while! Just got to have the bodywork and spray done over the winter. (hence the wood by the rear spoiler)

That looks impressive. What have you got powering it?

Its powered by a 3S-GTE currently, came from an MR2 and I've done some minor mods to be up at the 290 - 300bhp range which will be plenty for now. I have built the rear endin a way in which I can use any MR2 mods and that includes dropping in a V6 3.5l engine at 325bhp or supercharged to about 380bhp so I have options if / when I decide I need to do that but that's a long way off for now.

I don't want silly power, ill never drive it in that much anger I've put too many hours into it and I want it to be drivable not wild to control.

Picked this up from Porsche Bournemouth last week, absolutely loving it, even with restrictive running in revs.
