Out with the BMW 335i...

I have gone back to Japan with a 2008 ISF :-)

Picked her up Friday, she's a bit filthy now due to rain. Apologies for poor photos.

On the subject of Lotus cars, I have just bought myself what could have possibly been my original Europa the same car featured on the 1973 Earls Court Motor Show but it isn't the exact car.

Thanks, it's been completely re-built from the ground up to concours standard including engine and gearbox so should run nicely

I'll let you know after a year when my usual attention span/ interest or lack of it kicks in.

My wife has just very kindly reminded me that when we tried one twenty odd years ago I got in with not too much of a problem. But getting out I was actually on my hands and knees crawling out in a very undignified fashion.
So the seller has very kindly allowed me time to get in the car then extract myself out rather than just deliver the car and find I have a problem.
When I original owned one of these I was twenty years old so having put on a bit of weight over the years may well call into question it's suitability.

Lovely. Is that the one New Forest Sports Cars (Lymington) had a couple of years ago?

My memory may be playing tricks but theirs was very similar; same colour, and super condition too. Probably my favourite Lotus model - enjoy!

To add to this 4 month old purchase, we now have another kind of new car. More a new lease of life. It's away having interior fitted to match colour.

Interior now finished and ready for some meets. smile

Unfortunately not Darren, my dad bought me one from the London Motorshow in 1973 in exactly the same colour so as soon as I saw it I had to have it.
I have obviously put on a bit of weight since my twenties and although I could get in the car and once in it felt a bit snug but just about doable.
The problem came in trying to get out of it, in the end the only way to extract myself from the car was to open the door put both hands on the floor and pull myself out in a very undignified fashion so sheepishly I had to ask for the deal to be cancelled, besides at Pub Club Night etc I'd be stuck in the car and have to lower the window and ask passers-by to go and buy me a drink.
Currently trying a 2013 Nissan GT-r, Lotus Exige V6 and as a wildcard for track day fun a VX220 Turbo but have to say I'm using my motorbike a lot more and enjoying it.
