I've not heard of them, I'll bear them in mind. I see they're a TVR specialist too smile
We've taken a TVR there and were very pleased with both the service and the price.
Will use them again for each of the TVR body-off chassis works we do.

However don't be surprised if he can't shift the rear toe adjuster as they rust up badly. We normally have to cut them out and replace them after running a tap through the thread in the wishbone.

Great, thanks for the reassurance. I took my Z4 to Christchurch and was happy with the results, they had to change the rack ends as they were seized.

Steve, did you get my email yesterday? I sent it to info @ southways

Out of interest, how much does something like this cost as the alignment on my wifes car isnt right - pulls to the left when moving, steering wheel off centre to the right.

My Porsche was £96 I think. It varies depending on how many adjustments your car has/needs. It's worth every penny.

Yes, everything went pearshaped today but I think Rich replied at the close of play.

I had my car looked at by Nick today at http://www.wheelalignmentcentre.co.uk./

I haven't had this car done but had my previous done several times by him.

The handling of the car seemed to recently have just 'gone off' a touch.

20mins later and the car was back to what it should be.

If you have never had your alignment done, or think you know a thing or two about driving then geometry is a must.

Im going to make this a yearly thing.

Took my Gallardo there today, now feels like a different car. Very impressed. Only cost me £40 too!

Finally got around to getting down there and having my alignment looked at. I'd always suffered with wear on the inside of the nearside tyres, especially the front. As others have said, he really knows his stuff there and told me it was to do with the rear alignment being out, which in turn affects the front. Anyway, £40 later and it's as good as new. Only a minor adjustment in the end, but I can immediately tell the difference. Highly recommended. I'm sure my new Dunlops will last a lot longer now it's sorted.

Paid Nick a visit at The Wheel Alignment Centre today.
Always thought my 996 could handle a bit better so thought I would have the geometry checked.
Glad I did. It was miles out !!
Nick was spot on, very informative and very knowledgeable.
Even the short drive home has showed how much improved the handling and steering of my car is. the turn in is great.

Would highly recommend Nick to anyone.

Same setup at this place. You might want to look at them for a price comparison.

Another ringing endorsement for Nick today.

In the words of a cockney geezer...sorted me right out.

Car had gone a little floaty at speed and with some minor adjustments the Mega D is back on it.

Just a quick note to say many thanks to SuperTracker for fixing the tracking on my just-bought Merc.

Scoured around the internet for recommendations for wheel alignment in the Southampton area, and I'm glad I trusted the recommendations from the members here.

Had great service from him - he tracked it up and said that he might need to swap the front wheels over, I took it for a test drive and it had improved - he swapped the front wheels over and tweaked it a bit more - and it now drives in a straight line now - thank goodness.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him - he's tracked very expensive cars in there (look at the photos on the wall) - and with all the worry about "Mercs all pulling over to the left", I am now a much happier Merc owner.

As you can imagine, he's a busy man, so I rang him up for an appointment - perhaps best to make a phone call before going there to save a wasted journey if he's in the middle of something.

I'm so against these new "amazing" machines! What programmes are they using to set the parameters in the first place?

I had my VX220 set up a few times using these machines and it was terrible, turns out my rack had some play and none of them diagnosed the problem.

Take it to a specialist. Plans Motorsport had my car and did a full set up. It's a so much better than ever before!! They use old school methods and experience to set each car up independently depending on use and running gear.

Cant recommend Plans highly enough, bit of a trek for us South Coast lot but well worth the drive!

Another +1 for Nick in Southampton. Just had four new tyres fitted so a good time to have the alignment checked.

Agree with the nice coffee....
