I love going out on the road from Wimbourne to the Horton Inn and beyond, and when I remember where it is, Zig Zag hill. That area on a quiet day is brilliant for a few hours of hooning.

That cranborne rd area can be good. Higher blandford to shaftesbury rd is good too as is the bridport, weymouth, dorch triangle and the higher langton matravers road.

To name a couple.

Love the road from Wimborne to Cranborne too.

Matchems Lane is fun too.

Not sure of the name of the roads. Think its the A35, from the Dorset Way to Dorchester, then on to the A31 into Corfe Mullen. Not done it for a while, might have to do it soon.

B3351 from Corfe Castle to Studland off-season is fantastic.

Beer Regis - Wool - Lulworth Cove road - left at the tank range and take a right over the hill top road to Corfe. Greet fun on a bike also. Just watch for the airborne hump on the way up the hill!

Zig Zag hill, and surrounding area, entering from the Shaftsbury top road side. Cranborne road is an all time favourite and they can all be combined in to quite an epic hour or so. Studland is good too. Great roads to the west too, Cerne Abbas way.

Wimborne - cranbourne - Shaftesbury are good as others have said, I guess I'm lucky as my nan live on that route so I get to drive it quite a bit! I sometimes go off that route a bit if I'm in the mini as its more fun finding even more twisty stuff !

Another vote for the Wimborne to Shaftesbury road via Zig Zag Hill.

From Shaftesbury head up towards the A303 and take the B3089 back towards Salisbury then the A354 back to Cranborne etc.

The road from the Horton Inn towards Farnham until it joins the A354 is good too.

Oooh this is all too close to the civilised end of Dorset at the mo...

A356 Maiden Newton to South Perrott

B3163 from Beaminster to aforementioned A356

B3157 Burton Bradstock to Weymouth (only at quiet times though)

A354 Sixpenny Handley to Puddletown

Minor road from Winterborne Whitechurch through Milton Abbas to Bulbarrow is fun but narrow

C??? Melbury Abbas to Blandford

A352 Middlemarsh to Charminster

B3159 Upwey to Martinstown

ETA B3143 Dorchester to Piddlehinton

A352 is always rather fun for starters, then Lulworth way has some nice parts, nice long straights for high speed runs near the tank ranges.

Will have to check out the zig zag hill when Im next down for a hoon.

When are the best times to do these? Got a couple of days off and spent the last couple of days driving around Swanage/Corfe, but in a van that speed is tracked, like the look of the second one.

Anyone keen on a Sunday Morning drive around the countryside and finish with breakfast somewhere?

I was thinking of a 6am start to get clear roads.

I would be up for it, but not sure when as I've just starting working Sundays, got some holiday soon though so maybe!

Went for the drive on Sunday, woke up a little late and didn't get out until 0930.

Canford Heath - Matchems Lane (boring way, though Longham, past the airport).
Matchems - Alderholt
Alderholt - Cranborne
Cranborne - Wimborne
Wimborne - Bere Regis

Then got a bit lost...ended up in Lulworth, passed an army camp then near Wareham. Made the mistake of getting the ferry across back to Poole...took 35 minutes from Studland beach, to get on it!
