After the successful inaugural event last year there will be another Italian car gathering on Poole Quay from 6-9pm on Friday 25th July. The format is a simple one: Turn up at 6pm or shortly after (but not before), park along the quay (free of charge) and simply enjoy the evening as you wish. With lots of Italian machinery, a great location and plenty of places to eat and drink this should be easy!

See Poole Tourism's website for further info http://www.pooletourism.com/go.php?structureID=pag...

If you are unfamiliar with the event have a look at the photo links below

Just looked at the we site advertising this event - it refers to 'Rockley Park Quay event'. Is the event at Rockley Park or Poole town Quay please?

Cor blimey Pooleman, with your PH name you should know........

The meet is at Poole Quay. BH15 1HJ (If you have TomTom, I don't so just use MapMap. I just head for the Quayside & remember it is on the opposite side to, and with a view of, Sunseeker yachts).
The organisers have asked people not to get there too early- the quayside is closed to traffic & delays can build up particularly in the High St area.

Will be popping down with the family. Last year the 'Italian Stallions' was one of the most interesting Quay For My Car evenings. Also saw one of my dream cars, an Alfa Romeo SZ.

Am looking forward to seeing everything from a Panda to a Pangani.

Well that was good fun! A bit of a bun fight getting back from work across the forest, then extricating family & fighting more traffic along the A31/A338 & through the back end of Poole, finally made it about 6:45. Fed the family, wandered around looking at the cars & boats, chewed the fat with a couple of fellow owners & generally spent a very pleasant evening. As a bonus, tailed the Testarossa & the F40 all the way home, most entertaining.
(The Transit in the background is intentional - belongs to a friend of mine)

Great evening with a good eclectic mix of Italian beauties.. Fiat Topolino's to F40. Sadly the thunderstorm at 20 to six greatly reduced attendance but I intend to email Poole Tourism & thank them for putting the show on -to encourage them to do so again next year. I suggest other interested parties do likewise.
