PistonHeaders South - Bournemouth Monthly meet, October 6th
Discussion
After the chaos of last time, i was worried we were going to have more of the same. Thankfully it was not just quieter, but miles better!
Quite a few nice cars turned up & they all looked great & met a few new people & ended up having a drink with them! Only to find that there might be one less MGF in the world.. Glad the drivers ok that's the most important thing.
All in all, despite the rain we had earlier which flooded some areas of the car park, a fantastic meet & will be glad to see you all again soon!

P.S. Cheers for the drink Martin!

Bart,
Thanks for organising. I actually thought the food was good, but I haven't been before. For a fiver I was more than happy.
Some very nice metal on display. My brain still cannot process the width of the rear tyres on the Ultima!
What happened to the MGF, it looks a little worse for wear in the photos above? There was also a dark coloured 7? series outside the venue with the front bumper hanging off at about 2015-2030.
I'll actually get round to introducing myself next time to some people.
Jon
Silver Z3M.

Jon - Martin (MGF Owner) went to leave and was caught out by some standing water. Unfortunately it ended up directing him towards the nice large fence posts lining the 18th hole. Luckily he's confirmed it's mostly superficial damage and the grass seems OK at the golf course (not the post mind, that's well and truly second hand).
I have to admit, the food wasn't up to scratch in my eyes - certainly in comparison to the last few times, but I will feed this back.
I wish I had bought my Ultima along now for a couple of shots with Vince's.

The food certainly wasn't bad, the pizza was nice. We were just spoiled for choice at the last meet and it seemed a little sparse in comparison this time!I have to admit, the food wasn't up to scratch in my eyes - certainly in comparison to the last few times, but I will feed this back.

Glad Martin was ok and it was possibly his pride that sustained the worst damage! The MGF doesn't look too bad from the picture so sounds like he got away lightly (unlike the Fence post)! Did I hear that someone else had an incident involving their BMW and a tree?!
To be honest, I thought it was your Ultima and you had another colour change since we last saw it!!!
Thanks again for organising Bart. Looking forward to the next one.

More than happy to bring some lights and do a shoot with both Ultima's one evening if you wish?
I'm sure Vince would be up for that, let's pencil something in for the next night it's dry (April 2015?? )Gassing Station | South Coast | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
