Morning all, just wondering if anyone can help me. I received a PCN from Parking Eye for some infraction at the Leisure World car park.

They say I either:
1. didn't purchase a pay and display ticket (not true, the ticket is in front of me)
Or 2: remained at the car park for longer than permitted (10hrs 30mins which is comfortably within a 24hr charge period which is what I thought I paid for)
Or 3: didn't enter my reg correctly (nope, it's the same as the one on the car).

Now the only thing I can think of is that I didn't put enough money in, so if anyone can help me double check the charges at leisure world, then it would be of great help as it'll cost me more in fuel than the PCN. I arrived on a Monday morning before 9am if that's any use.

Virtual beers for any help!

Thanks,
Jep

Little tip...

If you get a fine of some sort, from a leisure center or shopping center, simply don't respond.

By responding to the letter, you're admitting guilt and they can then proceed.

If you do nothing, they can't proceed.

This advise was given to me by my brother in law, who is a council parking attendant and I've never needed to test it but he seems to know his stuff.

Parking Eye are not able to issue PCN - in the strictest terms.

They just use the acronym as a threat. With respect to Leisure World, the private parking rules and how the BPA approved contractors deal with them has recently changed, either ignore it and don't pay or make a proper appeal and get it written off.

Ignoring them only worked until the beginning of 2013. Now you need to respond, only in a certain manner. Google the money saving expert forums, there are how to's on there. I'm in the middle of one myself.

Yep, already on the MSE advice as I heard you couldn't just file it under B any more.

I'm confident I paid for a full day, so to get something for 10.5hr stay is a little surprising...

Believe so, as a mate left his van there for 3 days.... but I'm not 100% sure hence the question. Anyway I've subbed it off to a parking ticket appeals company now, so they'll sort it now.

The link suggests it isn't 24 hours.
