Looks good, I'll try and come along and bring a friend, just an MX-5 though frown unless I can get something exciting from work.
MX5's are cool!!! I like the look of all the modded slammed ones I keep seeing about! They look great fun.
See you at Beaulieu cool

Excellent work Dan, thank you very much!

Advance tickets are available here http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu-events/cars-for... or you can pay on the day.
I honestly have no idea how many people are coming to this, but we only have a week now to try and get as many cars to attend as we can...

Doors open at 9:30am for Bacon Sandwiches and they close at 5pm.

I'm still praying for a dry day... Haha

Does some of the entrance ticket price go to charity?
yes Don't worry, I'm not gonna try and mug everyone as soon as they're in!!! laugh

However, I've got a pair of tickets to a Truck Racing Festival at Thruxton next summer that I'm gonna raffle off if I can find some raffle tickets that is... scratchchin

I'm probably gonna come as it's just down the road, Prices seem quite steep, I don't mind if the majority is going to the cause, but don't really want to pay that amount if it's going to the museum, as I already have free entrance for a year, I'd rather use that to get in and give a bigger donation to the charity.

Yeah, I'm more than happy for you to do that mate. I'm a season ticket holder too.
Some of the entrance fee is going to the charity, so it's all good!!! cool

Hi everyone wavey

Well, it's nearly the weekend and I'm getting excited about Sunday.

I popped into Beaulieu this afternoon to check they had got lots of bacon ready for the early birds to get their breakfast.

The weather is supposed to start to clear from Sunday into Monday, so we may get lucky. I keep checking the Met Office weather updates (It's becoming an obsession) Haha.

Please, please, please don't let it put you off coming, it will be a good day no matter what the weather and remember it's all for a good cause.

My old Mustang leaks like a sieve and the boot fills with water, but it can all be cleaned up and will give me a good excuse for an 'EXTREME POST EVENT DETAIL' !!!

I'm really looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. No matter what car you bring, just follow the signs and roll on in to the event arena, park up and have a wander.

  • Don't park in the public car park or go through the ticket office, as reduced admission is only through to the event arena
Thanks

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the very brave individuals who made it here today!!! You really made the day a success despite the horrendous early morning conditions.
The weather was terrible and I don't blame people who didn't manage to get here today. The conditions really let us down.

If you would still like to support me in my challenge to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, then you can do so here:

https://www.justgiving.com/ChallengeJamie

Thank you very much. You're a top bunch of guys!!! rotate

any news on the Mustang mate?

D
They reckon they might have knocked the sump when tilting the engine to fit the new cam and upset the seal. I honestly don't know how this has happened, but they've assured me it will get fixed and there's no damage caused to the engine... LUCKILY!!!

I think you won the Beaulieu free for life bacon roll.
I sent mine back and got another one! Those supposedly 'posh' rolls were nasty. Normal white bread was just fine...
How you can get a bacon sarnie wrong is beyond me!? laugh

As promised donation made.
Hope you reach your target.
Thank you very much Paul.

With the disappointment of Sundays washout, my car breaking down at Beaulieu and the fact that I missed the F1 (can't believe I didn't spot that one; derrr), all of your donations have really cheered me up. There really are some 'top' people on this South Coast Forum thumbup

Cheers
