Jamie well done for organising this today, shame the weather put people off coming & we'll done to those that made the effort.
Hope you get the car sorted soon, look forward to seeing it at it's best soon.

What Darren said plus smile Turned out to be a good meet and thanks to Andy Wise and Dan for the tour, spoke to my nephew this evening and they have just done a monthly donation as the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance relies solely on public donations. After speaking to Jamie maybe we could also do some fundraising at the pub meets? Good luck to Jamie and Natalie to Kill for a mans giro in February. laugh Cheers, H http://www.hiow-airambulance.org.uk/

Hi everyone,

Thanks to the very brave individuals who made it here today!!! You really made the day a success despite the horrendous early morning conditions.
The weather was terrible and I don't blame people who didn't manage to get here today. The conditions really let us down.

If you would still like to support me in my challenge to raise money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, then you can do so here:

Thank you very much. You're a top bunch of guys!!! rotate

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for organising a great day out. We really enjoyed it, the personal tour was great as we’ve been to the museum so many times but this made it a little different and we learnt a lot about the cars and their history. All very interesting.

It’s a shame that so many people had said they would come and then didn’t show up, I mean I managed to come in my Caterham which never goes out in the rain, and that didn’t dissolve away! Even my girlfriend came along who hates being cold and wet!! Although I suppose the upside meant that we were all able to partake in the tour, which was a bonus!

I managed to get back home without finding out the F1 result and had a great evening watching the F1 with a mate eating snacks and drinking cider, then watched the Radio 1 rescores Drive. All in all, a bloody good day!

Thanks again mate,

Dan

Schoolboy error!

Always switch on Sky box first and enter a channel number you know won’t be showing the news or the F1. Then switch on the TV. Or, get your other half to set the TV up for you before entering the room! Precautions must be taken. I even switched off wifi and 3G on my phone all day so I wouldn’t get any push notifications!!

They reckon they might have knocked the sump when tilting the engine to fit the new cam and upset the seal. I honestly don't know how this has happened, but they've assured me it will get fixed and there's no damage caused to the engine... LUCKILY!!!

I sent mine back and got another one! Those supposedly 'posh' rolls were nasty. Normal white bread was just fine...
How you can get a bacon sarnie wrong is beyond me!? laugh

Thank you very much Paul.

With the disappointment of Sundays washout, my car breaking down at Beaulieu and the fact that I missed the F1 (can't believe I didn't spot that one; derrr), all of your donations have really cheered me up. There really are some 'top' people on this South Coast Forum thumbup

Cheers
