Is there a south coast MB SS convoy?
Discussion
Good to see everyone and meet some new faces. Sorry I didn't have a chance to chat to most of you at MB World. Once I'd popped into the display I didn't come out again for a about three hours by which time almost everyone had gone! I hope the pace this morning was ok for everyone... I didn't manage to use full throttle in the SLS at all, but as some of you may have seen, it was more than a bit lively at part throttle! Interesting and slightly worrying, that the SLSs at MB World seemed to be spun more than any other AMG on track...
If any of you would like to be added to my off forum hoon list please PM the following info:
PH name / Actual name / Car / Email address
Eddie, I hope you weren't too upset to see the SLS instead of the C63. I was impressed by the speed (and traction) of your new beastie - if you (or the chap in the lovely orange Mclaren) fancy meeting up for passenger rides in each other's cars some time just let me know. Hope to see you all again soon

Yeah, twas a good hoon this morning (well for me and Notax at least). Shame the other cars kept getting caught behind dawdlers. Love the sound of that SLS mate and good to see it being used properly....... i was most pleased that i wasn't lagging with the little (although proper rapid) A45 either. The telemetry from the morning run makes interesting viewing given it was wet!
Nice to catch up with the rest of you too. Sean, that McMac sounds lovely, very much like the AMG F1 cars at low revs now im sat comparing it.
Ive got a couple of pics of the cars at HE so i'll fire them up later.

I think I might need an adult nappy next time I use it like that in the wet Not sure if you realised quite how interesting it was for me at times - on the twisty private road I had a bit of a slide, and after collecting it looked down and was still doing 86...Nice to catch up with the rest of you too. I thought your car and Sean's both sounded fantastic - one reason I was so long at MB World was that I was investigating the A45/CLA 45 as possible replacements for the C63 having seen, and heard, yours in action! Does yours have the MB sports exhaust? It sounded just like a WRC car... but with more power. Talking of which, it got me wondering how good tarmac rally car it would make. £30k for a second hand one seems a proper bargain (one is at that price) I could even get a cat c if I can find one. Hmmm. I do love driving sideways though and not sure it would match the fun I have in this one...
Aggh. Struggling to resize a photo, but it was going to be of my BMW M3 Compact...

Just home.
Good to meet you all. Roads and semi slicks made for some twitchy moments, but good fun.
Glad you got home ok, well done for the epic drive. Hope the section I was leading kept you awake Good to meet you all. Roads and semi slicks made for some twitchy moments, but good fun.
I was hoping to have a chat with you and admire your car... hopefully next time!
Good Hoon out fellas, thanks to Chris for being on point and for waiting at strategic RVs.
Hope we didn't lower the tone of the neighbourhood with low rent MX5, and Mark, I'm with you on the damp roads/cut slicks combo, very twitchy in places.
did find out at Bedford today that dry track and 220 bhp MX = maximum fun.
Good to put faces to forum names too and great to chat ,
Catch up soon,
Darren & Lez
