Are there any 'old school' shops in Hampshire/Dorset which can make custom brake lines and/or sell suitable tubing and unions? I know someone who needs some made for a kit car build.

Thanks, Andrew.

If I remember rightly the Pirtek people in Portsmouth made up one for my Esprit may be worth a try.

You could also try these guys;

We use them at work and have done brake pipes for us in the past.

I made my own for a Westfield I built. It’s really easy. You just need the tool to make the ends which I doubt is that expensive to buy. I recommend buying the pipe and the tool and giving it a go yourself. It’s a good skill to have and it’s fun to do.

EDIT: This the tool we used http://www.halfords.com/motoring/garage-equipment/...

All good advice, thank you. It's not me who is building the kit car, which was bought un-finished from someone. The current builder of the kit car was hoping to find somewhere fairly local which stocks a range of fittings which they could sort through to find the correct matching threads etc. to go with the calipers/drums which came with the car.

I'm sorry the details are a bit vague but I'm not involved in the build myself and have only spoken over the phone to the person who is doing the build.

I would have thought a local motor factors would have had the pipes and fittings in stock.

Get him to bring the bits in and I will find the fitting sizes he needs. I'm betting he will have a mix of metric and imperial.
Does he also want flexi pipes?
