This is where Google Maps and Streetview is your friend
Knowledge from people who have been there before is more valuable than google maps smile
East Overcliff Drive is shut for the duration.

Parking? Inland side of Christchurch Road, or around Percy Road in Boscombe.

Plenty of people watch from East Overcliff Road. From this road you can get down to the beach at either end, cliff lift (that gets mega mega busy) or two zig zag paths. Look on google maps and you'll see these. Ensure you walk between Boscombe and Bournemouth Piers on the undercliff road, and then again but this time on the Cliff road. Also cover the Lower Gardens by Bournemouth Pier. That way you'll see all.

Timings of flights usually appear here 24 hours before.

Take in the Red Arrows memorial sculpture at the junction of East Overcliff Road and Meyrick Road.

On Sunday leave as late as possible. The A338 and A31 will be busy. Mega mega busyyes

A lot of the hotels have packages to stay and see the show so are generally full they also have clamping so I would not count on it. There is three park and rides which may be a better option.

The link below shows a ariel view of the site with some of the areas a labeled may help with understanding its location and cliffs. There is level access at the two piers and steep paths / steps / lift in between.

Be wary of using car parks attached to Flats. Last year I know someone who returned to his to find someone already parked in his space. No contact details left.

So he parked in tight behind and left his contact details.

He was expecting a call 6ish. No call came.

15 mins after the fireworks that evening the text came (10:20pmish)laugh Apologising for parking in his spot and asking he would be kind enough to move his car. Problem was matey was in a poker tournament: He called him back and said he was playing poker and could return as soon as he was knocked out. Visitor then enquired as to when that would be. The reply was comical. If he didn't do well it would be in 10 mins. If he done well it could be 4amlaugh

I have always managed to park on Derby Road, Cliddesden road or a little side road off Cliddesden road, getting there pretty early. going on train on sunday though which I may regret!

Vulcan is now displaying at Dawlish and Shoreham on sat, whilst avoiding Bournemouth when flying between the two, absolutely ridiculous... there will be a riot if the weather is crap on sunday.....

Bournemouth council or whoever runs the town, lets see what they have done for us.....

1. The Camra thing in the town centre...WTF?!
2. IMAX....less said the better!
3. The artificial surf thing off Boscombe....excellent engineering behind that one!
4. Castlepoint car park...temp repairs, 10 yrs ago!
5. 30mph speed limit on the Wessex Way....money grabbing currants!
6. A338 repairs....look, its not really going to do anything better and wasn't really needed.

and the finally, deciding that the Vulcan was too popular so will only let it come on Sunday.
Weather for Sat from the BBC....no rain, very good visibility.
Weather for Sun from the BBC.....rain, moderate visibility!

how cynical!

be more positive lol

1. its a nice cafe
2. The Imax Plaza is great for events
3. The Reef signs looked good
4. TYhe supports & netting make the car park less boring than plain concrete
5. Good news, its mainly 50mph, or 40mph through town!
6. A338 repairs, haven't started yet lol

Clamping is illegal on private land. Just find a hotel without a private ticketing system. Plenty of them around. If any have clamping signs, just ignore them as they cannot clamp you.

"Plans are in place for the Vulcan to fly through Bournemouth Air Festival on its way to Dawlish mid afternoon on Saturday. We can watch as she travels to Devon and look forward to her full display in Bournemouth on Sunday. Organisers are taking a responsible approach to anticipated Saturday crowds whilst giving the opportunity to see the Vulcan again."
Jon Weaver Air Festival Director
