I'll second what GingerMagic said. A good friendly meet, thanks for the welcome people.
I also have forgotten everyone's names. And failed to tie names to names on 'ere.
The Esprit really took me back. I used to have an S3 Turbo Esprit. Popped my head near the open window of that car and wham! The smell instantly took me back 12 years to my happy Esprit days. I didn't realise that Esprits had such a distinctive scent (the owner should check the fuel breather pipe that runs in the engine bay across the top of the rear cabin glass).
Complex hydrocarbons and old leather. Lotus should bottle that scent as aftershave.

It was kind of a funny meet last night as for perhaps the first time ever, i was the first one there! Mind you i was worried that because of the nightmare that is the A338 roadworks, i was worried for a good half an hour that no one was going to turn up!
To say i was relived when Bart arrived was an understatement compared to the fact he very nearly cancelled it before the party really started! Thank god by the time i he arrived, everyone else started to turn up & more! Way more!
Within 30 mins the place was completely full & pretty much everything turned up! From the 406 Estate to 6 classic Mini's from the Bournemouth Mini Club! Even the freshly restored Ex Chris Harris Audi S4 Avant came too. (along with a white one)
It was a really enjoyable meet & one that left a big smile on my face too. And it was great to chat to plenty of people too as well as seeing their cars! Somehow the fact it started getting dark early made it slightly more enjoyable in my eyes.

Normally the first Tuesday of the month. Barts a bit slow on the creation of the threads but we put up with it ;-)I vote for bringing it forward a week to last week in September for weather benefits and light (nothing to do with the fact my car will be off the road)
