Breakfast Meet 7/2/16
Discussion
Before I start, I am aware we already attend a breakfast meet in the New Forest a half dozen or so times a year. I have no intention of stepping on anybody's toes with this, just adding variation etc. Anyway, the proposition.....
I've been eating at the New Forest Inn in Emery Down for a while and was speaking to the head chef last week. We got talking about cars and to cut a long story short the chef and landlord would like to host a breakfast on the 7th of Feb with the intent that maybe we could continue it through the year. Those of you who have eaten or stayed at the New Forest Inn will probably agree the scran is pretty first rate with a very old fashioned and well turned out feel to the venue. They also do the best steak and ale pie i've ever eaten!
If we could gauge interest first that will give me some idea of attendance on the day. They will lay on breakfast and i'm told it will consist of proper local produce inc real meat sausages, locally sources bacon, eggs etc. They even make decent tea!
Timings are not nailed down yet but i've hinted at 9am or 10am depending on the preference of the masses. Parking consists of about 6 or 7 spaces out front and a car park around the side. There is also street parking along the road as per what lunch and dinner customers do.
I'll also put the feelers out to a couple of local automotive outlets to see if they want to attend with interesting stuff. I'll keep you posted if it looks like the event will go ahead.
Anyway, add below if you can make it and I'll elaborate on details as we go.

Just back from lunch at the Inn.
Prices for breakfast are:
£7.99 for full English breakfast. Proper sausages, locally sourced produce etc.
£2.50 for tea / coffee.
Or....
£9.99 for full English with unlimited tea / coffee and toast.
Certainly cheaper than your Goodwood greasy wagon bap!

I'll be up for this I think if my car has returned. Will double check as wife's birthday on 14th and we normally do something week before or after.
Goodwood cafe was good value last time and service good, can't remember where they're moving to. The mobile food wagons and thing in the paddock, rubbish. Don't mind paying if edible.
